Hey I'm 15 years now and I got GTA IV when I was 13 and I bought it myself.

I know what you are going through and here's my opinion:
Don't go to the strip clubs
Don't get lap dances
Don't go to hookers
Don't watch TV
Don't choose ''try your luck'' after a date
Don't get drunk
Don't go on a massive rampage
Don't do any of the missions(even if you skip the scenes cause they do still talk/swear afterwards
Don't run over peds

I wouldn't say that, rater play it as if it were sims when they in the room then when they leave go all out.

These are the things you can do IMO:
Drive properly
Go out with male friends who behave themselves(Eg. Little Jacob) and don't swear in the car.
Go bowling, darts, shows, resturaunts, ATMs, parks. You know somewhere were there is little violance.

Once they are gone do whatever. But mabe they won't mind all that stuff...who knows

I think you should be able to answer that question yourself, not us. Some parents freak out if they hear gunshot in a game, some don't mind you running people over. We don't know your parent's limits, but you should know. If you are not capable of making that descision I strongly suggest that you play another game. Or get a Nintendo..

Stand there in Niko's house and do absolutely nothing. Make sure it's not the Bohan house because that has "bad" pictures in it.

You parents might approve of the game then.

Seriously, if you're afraid that your parents will see something in the game they don't like, they probably wouldn't have let you buy it or play it in the first place.

I got GTA4 when I was 13, and I learned the hard way that I needed to buy headphones very soon, for example I was playing it infront of my mom and a guy screamed "cheesy vagina!"... so just if you think to yourself it's one of those "only in GTA" things, it's probably not the best thing to do infront of parents.

i would say the people here care about him because of the stuff that goes on in the game and some of it online the other stuff online is caused by cheaters.

I've been playing GTA since I was 4, I think, and my parents never had any problems with video game violence. Just don't go to the strip clubs or start missions with lots of swearing in the cutscenes.

I was playing GTA VC when I was like 11.
In Romania parents don't give a sh*t about what their kids are playing haha. Here you can buy GTA IV if your like 8 years old.

Haha, this takes me back to the San Andreas days (I was 11 - 12 at the time) playing the train mission with Big Smoke. Kept stuffing the mission up. Dad didn't know how bad the game was until he walks into the room just as I ride the bike into the path of an oncoming train. All of a sudden:

Don't play with your parents around, the dialogue is unpredicatable. Even if you crash into someone Niko will shout something like LEARN TO f*ckING DRIVE.

Mute, don't do anything stupid eg shagging a hooker. Is the easiest way.
