How did you purchase this game if you are 13..or did your parents buy it?

If so, why would they care what you do if they bought it when it clearly has an 18 rating?

Also, this is the GTA V section, NOT IV smile.gif

Well, masturbation is one thing you probably should avoid doing in front of your parents. If I think of more I'll let you know.

Then maybe you should shoot some guy in the face with a shot gun, then stab the ambulance staff that come to try and save him, if you're not done, go mow down some pedestrians with a supercar...then maybe they might look at the rating smile.gif

^ There's some stuff you might not want to do, but this is GTA, anything can happen anytime.

Don't visit the strip clubs and get lap dances.

Also don't play the mini drunk driving game while hanging out with annoying Roman.

You definitely shouldn't visit this forum when your parents are in the room.

Don't play the game until you turn 18.. how about it?

(I have to admit though that I don't know anyone, myself included, who has played an FPS or similiar like GTA before the age 16/18.. yeah, the youth protection works brilliantly)

Just drive around, don't kill anyone, because your parents will probably won't let you play because of the violence.(if they're good parents of course).

Well seeing as your parents obviously dont give a shït about you or what you play (otherwise they would check the f*ckïn rateings) id say your safe to do anything you want.

BTW, ask your mom how she enjoys letting a videogame console babysit her little darling so she doesnt have to.

LMAO at the rating police here...
you people should go work for some industry watchdog or something. Or maybe Dr. Phil has a guest spot for you if you're ugly enough.

Hey kid, don't listen to these hypocrites. Just have fun with the game..

Depends in which country you live tounge.gif
Not every store checks your age, although I was kinda tall so I suppose that made it a bit easier.

Yup. If everyone waited until they were 18 to play GTA there wouldn't be many people playing it. They (most, not all obviously) played it as kids, they turned 18 and suddenly got on their high horse.

Use your common sense when it comes to avoiding things. Don't go to strip clubs, don't go on rampages killing people in hospitals, don't do missions where the cutscenes have a lot of swearing...

...saying that, probably best to play this game when your parents aren't in the room.

It is hypocritical. I'm willing to bet a large % of the forum started with GTA under the recommended rating. I was younger than the OP by 1 year when I started. I'm 26 now.

it's just ridiculous nonsense.. these ratings. They're proven not to work and the whole link between violent entertainment and real world violence is pseudo science conjured up family values (christian fundementalist) hate/pressure groups who hate on everything that represents progress.

If I was a parent I wouldn't take kindly to the government or some industry group dictating what MY children can and cannot see.

Personally I'd have a lot more problems with my kid playing military sims all the time, or spending too much time on internet forums than rampaging around GTA. Also, if you care to notice.. GTA's stories are always MORALITY TALES, like all good crime movies are, like all good war movies are ANTI-war movies.

But hey if people want to buy into it.. and have a nanny-state or whatever telling them what's good for them and not.. go ahead. You're free to do what you want.. even giving up your own freedom I guess.

The way I look at is I'd rather see a young teenager play a game like GTA where they can use it to vent if they need to than to be up to mischief in the real world.
