Hi

I'm new to GTA IV, so I have a few questions. I hope that somebody can help me. Please excuse my bad english, I'm german. wink.gif

1. There are 2 add ons I think, but how are the exactly installing steps? GTA IV --> Patch --> Add ons --> Mods? If I want first play the GTA IV main game (and finally the add ons) is it already possible to install the add ons?

By the way, I only have to install the newest patch, right?

2. Is Icenhancer 2.1 or ENB graphic mod better? Icenhancer is configurable, I think, what are the best settings, so that it looks most naturally? I've read that the sunset and night is bad with Icenhancer.

Works Icenhancer also with the newest Patch?

3. Which one is the best blood mod? And is there a mod which brings the original names for cars, municipalities etc. (so that everything has original names)?

4. Are there any other good mods for graphic or other things or is there a mod pack where all good mods are inside? car mods seems to be very important, but there are soo many more mods.

I can answer a few of your questions.

1. The addons that you are thinking of are The Ballad of Gay Tony (TBoGT) and The Lost and Damned (TLAD). Both are from an addon pack called Episodes From Liberty City (EFLC). So for basic IV, all you need to do is GTA IV --> Patch --> Mods.

For the patch, depending on what you want to do, you should either go with patch 1.0.4.0. (better for ENB) or patch 1.0.7.0. (better for multiplayer).

2. iCEnhancer is a form of ENB and both are good, it is more about personal taste. If you want a natural looking iCEnhancer, you should go with iCEnhancer 2.0N. iCEnhancer, and some ENB's are compatible with patch 1.0.7.0. (the newest patch) but they look much better on patch 1.0.4.0. because they can reach their full potential.

3. What do you mean by names? The car's and location's real life counterparts?

4. There are many texture mods that make the game look better. You could try DKT70's or Lord Neophyte's textures. For me, car mods are really a necessity to have but once again, that is all about personal taste too.

Thank you ZBNYNC.

1. Whats the difference between patch 1.0.4.0 and 1.0.7.0?

2. Ok Icenhancer offers natural looking, but what offers ENB? And what is Icenhancer 2.0N? Ich thought version 2.1 is newest.

3. Yes I mean car's and location's real life counterparts. Is there something around?

4. Are these texture mods compatible with Icenhancer? Is there a package with all good mods inside it? To get each car and other mods separately is very time consuming.

1. The only real difference is that patch 1.0.4.0. is more compatible with ENB than patch 1.0.7.0. is.

2. Some ENB settings, other than iCEnhancer, also offer natural looking settings. You are right, 2.1 is the newest iCEnhancer but 2.0N offers a much more natural look to it. You can find a bunch of ENB settings here: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=480297&st=0

3. I've seen mods that change the names in videos on YouTube but I have never found an actual download link for anything.

4. Yes, all textures mods are compatible with iCEnhancer and all ENB settings. There are packs to get textures and then there are separate packs to get cars. DKT70 and Lord Neophyte both have good texture packs. There are many car packs when you go looking around. Many are on gta4-mods.com.

Here's a link for zzcool's Ultimate Vehicle Pack V9.0, it replaces most cars in the game with their real life counterparts. But, just so you know, it does to a powerful PC to run it. http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1337

Here's the link to download Lord Neophyte's texture packs: http://www.facebook.com/LordNeophyte?sk=info

DKT70's textures can sometimes be hard to get a hold of, you can ask around on the forums here to see if anyone has a link for them.

Is there also a edition of icenhancer where the daylight is not so flushy (looks unatural in Icenhancer 2.1 for me) and where the sunset and sunrise light is much better (orange like in the original GTA)? Or is there a fix for that? Icenhancer 2.1 has a configuration tool (Icenhancer 2.0N has not I think), but I don't know how to configure to get better sunrise and sunset ligth. What I've seen until know Icenhancer 2.1 is only good for night light.

By the way, is there also a mod for better artificial intelligence?

What do you mean by 'flushy'? There are plenty of other versions of iCEnhancer that you can check out. http://www.gta4-mods.com/search/iCEnhancer

Also, I know that there are mods that customize the artificial intelligence but there are none that make it better.

I mean with Icenhancer 2.1 and also all other versions I saw the daylight is very bright + the sunset and sunrise is bad. Do you know a version without these problems?

No, most of the iCEnhancers have unrealistic sunrises and sunsets.

Most but not all? wink.gif

Or are there other ENBs (not Icenhancers) with normal sunsets and sunrises?
