Hi This is my first post here and hate to start it off with a problem I got this computer and it runs alot of games good but I get lag spikes. Like really bad ones. In GTA IV the auto configure graphics give me a High to medium settings and It will lag really bad and even when I turn them down I lag. I have a 8gb of ram AMD Radeon HD 6490 i5 2450M CPU 2.50GHz. I play BF3 and get bad lag spikes and I even ask some of the people who have super computers and they said I could run BF3 at the settings they were giving me. When ever I update the card it gives me a AMD Radeon 7400. Any help please. Thanks. It also give me like 1000MB of the thing were you change the settings.

it doesn't have enough shaders - its a weak video card for GTA IV! lower your settings more, reduce your draw distances.

Ok, But on the the recommended settings for GTA IV it says "Video CardRecommended: 512MB NVIDIA 8600+ / 512MB ATI 3870+" and every shader input it updated past the recommended. But what is the next best card I can get for a good price? I have the 4.1 shaders.

Low settings, lower the sliders and turf the shadows to low.
