Hey guys,

I was directed here by a friend of mine who said that you guys were in need of some information regarding GTA V. Luckily for you, I have some. I'm a Gamestop/EB Games employee in Eastern Canada. I'm not going to tell you what city, what store, my name or my managers name, because frankly I would like to keep food on my table, but what I can tell you is some exciting news regarding the game. I'm second in command at the store (out of three, lol), the only person above me is my manager. (lets call him Bill). Bill and I have been good friends since I started working here last year, and yesterday he brought me into the back room to listen to a message from corporate. Up above Bill, there's a guy who gives us all the information regarding new games and pre-order details, so we'll call him John. John left us a message saying something along the lines of "Hello Bill, I'd just like to inform you and your staff about the pre-order details for GTA V. blah blah blah, customers will be able to pre-order starting September and will be rolling in before Christmas blah blah blah make sure you set up the stuff properly" and yeah. I'm not sure if this confirms anything about a release date but it sure as hell means pre-orders will be accepted. I hope you guys take this with a grain of salt, because pre-orders can mean anything. The game could be coming out years from now, he was just telling us to set up the database and get ready. I have been in charge of the pre-orders for games such as CoD MW3 and Halo 4, and those pre-orders were opened when we first caught wind of development. Halo 4's pre-orders have been open since March, so I'm not sure if there's a pattern.

Anyways, I'll try to keep you guys updated. Feel free to lock if this is against any rules, I just joined the forum 10 minutes ago.

Even if it isn't troll, it isn't really news. So what if a games shop is accepting preorders? My local is accepting preorders for it already.

I believe you, but it doesn't really tell us much, they could start taking preorders in september but release it in March for all we know.

Well thanks for the information. Not sure if it really means much, but I (we?) appreciate you coming on here and letting us know . Hopefully the 2 screens and Epsilon twitter are foreshadowing more information to soon come.

Unfortunately those details come later, this call was just to make sure we had the database set up for formal pre-orders. Once the green light is given, then we recieve a pamphlet or email regarding any bonus'. If I find out any new info I'll be sure to throw it in this thread and keep you guys updated.

Yea, and if this is true, don't just leave us hanging What do you mean by database? Like online website?

Haha, alright I'll try to take a picture while i'm setting it up on my shift Tuesday. If Bill comes in and does it for me on his shift tomorrow I'll snap a picture of the database when its up and running as well.

I think its best for myself to wait till Rockstar says something regrading about its release date. I'm not sure about this one though, seems a bit of bullsh*t to me. I wouldn't know jack sh*t until Rockstar says something in the newswire because its the "legit place"
