Well I was speaking to my friend the other day. His name's Gill and he's on death row for brutally stabbing his parents and 3 neighbours to death, but he's a really nice guy. And we were talking about middle names, and so I thought it would be a good idea to create a topic here and if there is one already made well then they're time travelling copy cats who stole my idea.

so I'll start, my middle name is Royston. It is quite a bizarre name, in fact I don't think I've ever had a "normal" reaction whenever I've told someone it. They tend to laugh like little girls or sni**er or snort or smile. Basically there's always a response in which I'm left with no doubt in my mind that I have a ridiculous name. And I wasn't even baptised! So I have no clue why they decided to give me a middle name. Sorry Stu but we don't want you to get into heaven you little bastard, and just for kicks here's a silly name which you'll forever bare. My sister was baptised though, and given the innocuous middle name of Louise. But she wasn't a planned pregnancy and was conceived out of wedlock, whilst I was conceived intentionally and whilst my parents were married. It's my honest belief that I wasn't baptised so as to put me and my sister on an even playing field in terms of the eternal damnation that we'll receive in the afterlife. Not that I'm religiously inclined, but still.

I was actually given that name because that's what my grandad was called, and in a way I'm thankful because my other grandad was called Berryl, no seriously he was. And my dad's middle name is Kim, named after the Korean bloke who saved my grandad (Royston) several times during the Korean war. I imagine some celebrity in the future going on a TV programme like "Who Do You Think You Are?" and discovering his male ancestry and thinking that he's descended from compulsive gamblers who named their children after losing bets.

I know there's a lot of embarrassing middle names out there, so hopefully I'm not the only person here with a dodgy one. I also have a friend who's middle name is Terrence, but at least he gets into heaven because he was baptised. So yh what's you middle name? Or maybe you have multiple ones because you're fancy.
