| QUOTE (shrekdj @ Saturday, Aug 4 2012, 13:00) | One aspect I don't understand about Gaming Industry is why there is no deal with consumer and top selling brands? I mean GTA San Andreas is so huge spaced out with lots of possibilities to include real brand names like Rayban, Tommy Hilfiger instead for Clothes Shops. Having Brand deals and showcasing them will cut down costs and add value to budget support in turn removing any piracy threats or DRM tools. | Absolutely 100% no f*cking way. I don't want to see my favorite gaming series of all time, a series that has built a fair portion of it's reputation by mercilessly parodying corporate greed, selling out and becoming championship suckers of Satan's gnarled cock. Really the future of gaming is always going to be held back by the lowest common denominator aka console gaming. If the next gen consoles still aren't capable of running games at 1080p with anti-aliasing and above 30 fps with low frame latencies, then that'll be a shame. Consolization is inevitable regardless because PCs will continue to evolve yet get held down by subpar ports because most developers just don't give half a f*ck - they go where the money is, simple economics. However, actual innovation in the VR realm is happening with projects like Oculus Rift. It'll be interesting to see how that grows in the coming years.
