What if the MC Got drunk as hell and decided to hop in his infernus and start driving like a drunkard through Vinewood. A Cop pulls you over, and There is a minigame where you have to pass the sobriety test by pressing the right buttons

If you fail the test, you will actually go to jail like in RDR. Then if you offend a second time, The police will repo your car and revoke your Driver's liscence. This will Disable the Y/Triangle buttons while near a car, And the only way to Get your liscence or Y Button back, is to Play a seperate mission to get this back (By Forging one.)

The positive thing of not being able to drive (however this happens) is that some people will actually need the public transport such as metros, subways or taxis.

Starting out being only able to use a bicycle and the public transport. After you have done some driving lessons you can drive, flying lessons for heli, boat and plane etc.

Just like exploring the map, at the beginning you are restricted to one island, then the next and so on.

And then when drunk driving or if the cops arrest you your license will be revoked for a few in game days so you have to use public transport or a bike.
This means that you cant do most of the missions but then there are enough missions or sidegames in which you dont need a car.

I think that if you lose your license you should still be able to drive but if you get caught there is a high price to pay.

A sobriety test could actually be pretty cool. I think the driving ban could be a little too much though. Nice idea and everything but at the end of the day people want to drive to places, and that might be taking the realism too far.

Brings more variety in the game.

Just as different ways of spending money.

The ability to hijack any vehicle on your path makes the game so 'easy'.
What if you had to save up for a car? At first you buy an old second hand car for a few thousand. Till that time you use public transportation.
Then save up for a sports car.

I know this isnt going to happen but you know, just thinking out loud.

Maybe they don't want to take public transport! Maybe they'd want to drive themselves, instead of being driven! Ever think of that?
