http://www.shogungamer.com/news/14278/rock...ed-dead-announcRockstar still remained mum as to GTAV or when we would see the game next so as of now we’re still out of luck in that regard. However, interesting GTAV tidbit was revealed this morning via the Sirius XM satellite radio show Opie & Anthony. Those who closely follow Rockstar Games should know that the studios’s go-to audio extraordinaire Lazlow is friendly with the O&A staff, thus a lot of the guys from the show do voice-overs in games ranging from GTA to Bully. This morning it was mentioned that O&A co-host Anthony Cumia was visiting Rockstar to record some audio for a game. While it was never explicitly said what game Anthony was recording for, it was allued that it was indeed GTAV. The reason this news is kind of important is because it gives us a clue that the game could be in the home stretch development wise as supplementary audio, usually for the radio stations and TV commercials, is recorded near the end of the dev cycle. I don’t think GTAV will come out this year like some “esteemed” industry analysts tend to believe, but the possible March/April 2013 release window is looking to be more of a sure thing at this point. Btw, it should be noted that Anthony Cumia sang the awesome song for Pisswasser in GTAIV. So will we receive another wonderful ballad poking fun at consumerism in GTAV? http://www.spieleradar.de/news/grand-theft...t-begonnen.htmlhttp://www.gamers.at/newsmeldung/beitrag/g...ice-acting.htmlTheRedBull: "Just a translation of the most important part for the non-German speaking forum members: Satellite radio broadcaster Sirius XM claims they are working at Rockstar studios, recording for a game, which name is not to be disclosed. Seems fairly obvious, that this ominous game is GTA:V, as R* is currently not working on any other game." r4in: "For all of you who don't speak German: This article is about moderators of Sirius XM who said in their show that they are taking records for Rockstar in their studios for a game. But they didn't want to say which game. I think they mean Lazlow Jones but I am not quite sure about this. Furthermore I know this gaming site, they are legit in my opinion (+well-known, so no chance that they publish fake news) /edit: The fact that they just started recording some voices for the radio implies that the game is too far away to release the game in 2012. I know that they record these things mostly when the game is in final stadium but I'm pessimistic towards a October release. I'm not surprised by this, to break it down in less fancy jargon, Opie & Anthony are recording some stuff for Rockstar.
Now, as most long time followers know, O&A are very good friends with Lazlow and they've had cameos on the GTA Radio before in the past as various characters and even done voice work for Red Dead Redemption.
EDIT: Also, O&A are not Moderators of XM Radio, haha, they just have a channel where they do their show and other stuff.
EDIT 2: They may as well post an article about Lazlow being in GTA V to.

| QUOTE (poklane @ Friday, Aug 3 2012, 17:52) | | Srry if I'm mistaken, I'm almost sleeping. So Rockstar is putting songs and stuff in the game for V? I think that's one of the final things to do. |
No, it's about moderators of Sirius XM who said in their show that they are taking records for Rockstar in their studios for a game. They were basically responsible for talking in the radio in previous GTA's. Highly likely GTA V, since it is the only title they are officially working on now. /edit: | QUOTE (InstantCClassic @ Friday, Aug 3 2012, 18:01) | | Wish I could see what songs they're adding. Please o please no sh*tty mainstream music. Rockstar has good taste though, so I can't see that happening. |
Actually I would like to see some mainstream music! For instance in GTA IV there was Ne-Yo and in Episodes of Liberty City there was a remix with Akon. Though it would be kind of "not GTA-like" to have too much of these mainstream songs, I agree with that. This post has been edited by r4in on Friday, Aug 3 2012, 18:07
