First of all, I've got both consoles. And both systems have their ups and downs.

1. Xbox live is worth paying for is simply due to the sheer volume of players on the xbox live network. More players = less lobby waiting time = better multiplayer gaming experience.

2. Xbox is better for all multiplatform. The games are developed on the Xbox 360 then ported to the PS3.

3. PS3 has much better exclusive titles graphics wise.

4. PS3 has a blue-ray player.

5. Although it may take a little bit longer to find a multiplayer match on the PS3, it is free.

Therefore, the best solution to the console war is to buy both. Then purchase games for each console that suits your individual needs.

Actually, it looks bad because the rage engine at that momment only supported 640p for your peasant ps3.

They don't delete things off of your harddrive (except for very specific things like glitched 'Forge' maps in Halo and sh*t.)
You can still play/watch/listen to anything you've purchased from any part of the Marketplace.

I still have Episode 200 of Southpark on my Hard drive, even though they took it down like two days after it aired.
