I only use cockpit view or hood view. I can't drive third person with my wheel, It really messes up my spacial awareness if I'm in third person. The only reason they're not including it is because they're lazy bastards. Two years and they couldn't have a team work on cockpits. Really? Deal breaker for me unfortunately.

The interview also mentioned open road sections. THis sounds intriguing, however, what with them being sections I can imagine them being small. Also, this also contributes to the fact that GRID 2 seems to be more street based than GRID, instead of providing proper circuits like Le Mans and Touring Car events, a bit like Need for Speed. If so, then I will be deeply disappointed by this sequel.

I think it might be a deal breaker for me. I've just become so used to using the cockpit view in racing games now. It's a pity because I was really looking for a quality racing game that didn't require super careful driving online such as with Forza. Of course there's the upcoming NFS but I'm not a fan of the weirdo handling in Criterion games.

Let me tell you, Driver: San Francisco was the game I was looking for. Fantastic fun online. That was until people stopped playing it.

Cockpit views makes the racing even more outstanding and excited than all other views so there is no
need to remove that cockpit view whatsover.

Was a cool trailer, but I'm going to stick with Forza Horizon for my go to racing game atleast until Forza 5 comes. I played the first GRID and wasn't all that impressed. Which Codemasters never really made a game worth playing in my opinion.

Codemasters confirmed today that their racing game GRID 2 will be hitting stores on May 28th. They also announced a couple Special Editions exclusive to GameStop and Best Buy.

Pre-ordering GRID 2 at GameStop will get you an automatic upgrade to the Turbo-Charged Edition. This includes two DLC packs. The McClaren Racing Packs unlocks the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 Special Edition for use in single-player, multiplayer and an exclusive online event. It also adds two routes to the Brands Hatch GP circuit. The GTR Racing Pack provides access to the Nissan GT-R SpecV road car, as well as five routes at the Yas Marina circuit.

Best Buy customers, meanwhile, get access to the IndyCar Edition. The included DLC pack unlocks the Dallara IndyCar and the IndyCar Pace car for use both online and offline. It also gives players access to two additional routes at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Oval Circuit.

These special editions are available on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. The bonus content won't actually ship with the game itself. Instead, players will get a download voucher.

No cockpit view?... MASSIVE FAIL.

The cockpit view is the only view that offers a decent perspective on the race in my view, it proper gives the game an action packed fast pace fee to it. Playng racing games 3rd person just seems boring. And the hood view is just plain lazy, boring, sh*t.
