Rules

-You must predict the score of the match at least 30 minutes before the match starts/kicks off.
-Predictions must contain the score of the predicted match.
-In the event of a tie at the end of the tournament, the winner will be the member who has predicted the most amount of correct scores right.
-In the rare event of two members having the same score and the exact same amount of predicted correct scores at the end of the tournament, they will both be declared joint Prediction League Winners.

Scoring

-If you predict the correct result, you will be awarded three points. So if Manchester United win Everton 2-1 and you predicted this, you will get three points.
-A single point is awarded if you predict the correct result, so if Manchester United win 1-0 and you predicted them to win 2-1, you will get one point only.
-If your score is correct but the winner is wrong, you do not pick up any points. So if Everton win 2-1 and your predicted Manchester United to win 2-1, you will not get any points for that result.
-All of the above apply for drawn games aswell.


-Now you need to predict your top four and your bottom three. You get five points for each team that finishes in top four and another five points for the position too.

-Then you need to predict one of the promoted teams to do the best.

-The promoted teams are Reading, Southampton and West Ham United.

-You will want to predict the scores for every match rather regularly to give you the best chance of winning.


-"TheCacti" very kindly set up a GTAF league on Talksport's site that we can also play if interested. It seems like a very well set up league and the scoring seems straight forward and fair. http://predictor.talksport.co.uk/ - Click on the "Football Predictor" tab and then click "Register Now", if you are interested.

-You will have to fill in some minor details such as a username, email, password and the football team you support. It will then allow you to make your predictions for Gameweek 1 and you can also make your predictions for Gameweek 2, 3, 4... and so on.

-The predictions must me made before kick off and if you have any queries on how to predict, there are some simple instructions on the website. Once you have made your predictions, there is an option on the right hand side of the page that says "Mini-Leagues." This gives you the option to create a private league, or join one. Cacti already set up a private league for us and the code you use will be FC96F-YLB.

I suppose we could have done but I like how it is formatted and layed out here. I didn't notice any errors last year and there was about 4 of us last season who regularly updated the table.

If there is any major problems which I doubt there will be, it will most likely be considered next year but I say we just see how it goes again this year.

@Tommy: Yeah we all know that. That's why I started to predict every week so I had a chance of winning.

Thanks for creating the league, 4bagger. Looking forward to it.

I created a GTAF league on TalkSport's site also for us to play. I think it's a very well set-up league and I really like the scoring. Would you mind posting a link to it on the first post for people who may be interested? predictor.talksport.co.uk league code: FC96F-YLB

The biggest differences here are that 1) you can lose points for faulty predictions, and 2) you can "bet" on certain matches that may increase the points earned for that particular match x2 or x3, as well as placing an insurance chip on a match that insures you won't be deducted any points from that particular match (often good to play it on the same match that you bet on).
