Do you actually believe that GTA V can make it out with only two-three months of marketing? Are you still dreaming?

You guys need to stop with this "The game doesn't need marketing" crap, every company does it even if the fans blast the game all over the internet. Just look at GTA IV/RDR I saw billboards everywhere about it and everyone knows GTA is the biggest franchise out there next to that obvious FPS game. Hell even L.A Noire had advertisements on the train billboards and buses in NYC.

I've had my bets on a 2013 release since March 2012 and I'll forever stick with that

I now think GTAV will release in March 2013 -- logic says it should.

R* are predicted to make what, another $500m? Up until this point, they've made around $400m and thats with the upset from Max Payne 3. So do you guys really think GTAV would only make $500m when it releases? The only way I see it happenning is if GTAV is released near the end of Fiscal 2013.

If V releases at the end of March, it would probaly make around the $500m mark, which would match the stocks prediction.

Now actually I am forced to believe that GTA V will come out in 2013. Even though Rockstar is saying they are getting on with the game. I actually can't wait for it. But I am actually patient and I make myself happy by playing IV and thinking if IV is like this how ill V be.

Well lets say marketing starts in September and GTAV releases March (technically still winter).

September, October, November, December, January, February, March.

There is your 6 month marketing window, and it makes sense as GTAV would likely pull in $600 million with presales and a couple weeks give or take of release time.
It's mid summer, I'm not expecting sh*t from R* right now.

I also think R* wants to give MP3 it's full run without closing the proverbial door on that which is the entire summer.

Edit again: if it doesn't make 2012 ie December, than you are right as they won't do a 3 month marketing campaign, but all in all it won't be that far away. Give or take a couple months doesn't matter to me anymore.

There is just no reasonable timeframe anymore for a 2012 release. GTA V is going to have magazine covers, trailers, countless online previews, and screenshots. An official website launch with interactive content, a release date announcement with platforms. At some time the ESRB rating will come out. Eventually review copies will be sent out and next we will hear the game has gone gold with a couple weeks left to release. All these events will be spaced out over the course of several months. This is how it is with every Rockstar game, and especially a GTA title. Take-Two has stressed how important a lengthy marketing campaign is for the success of their titles, and that includes GTA.

I think that's really shi­tty that they released a trailer over a year before the game's actual release date. This whole Epsilon thing (or whatever other form of viral marketing they plan on using) better blow up soon.

Well if thats the truth it looks like take two lied to everyone about their prijected financial earnings. Cause i am sure as hell that, that peice if sh*t max payne and its sh*tty dlcs will not make 900 million.

Now that's something I agree. It was actually an act of idiocy they released the trailer over a year of the game's release date.
