How come there has not been a new location since San Andreas? Since GTA4 the locations have been recycled. I was disappointed when Liberty City was the location in GTA4 as i wanted a new place and I was equally disappointed when Los Santos was announced as the new location in GTA5. will Rockstar ever make a GTA game in a new city or will they keep re-making?

Citites have been repeated since the first GTA, they all starred in that game. The only "original" was GTA2 (and GTA London, but that one doesn't count )

GTA 5 will have new locations, don't forget they said it was Southern California not just L.A. We'll most likely see R*s take on San Diego and hopefully Orange county, I'm dying to see a pisstake of disneyland.

I wanna see how a new Vice City will look before they go and make a whole new city. I also like how they refresh the current cities. It's interesting to see how the cities look from generation to generation. It won't hurt seeing a new city eventually though.

Liberty City, Vice City and San Andreas were in the first GTA long, long time ago.
Then they had the London addon.

Then "tomorrow city" in GTA 2.

And then back to the good Liberty, Vice, SanAnd.

I think I wanna see Vice City in VI. Maybe in VII a new city with a new weather will come up.

GTA is a parody of America as it's depicted in pop culture and that means it's going to stick to locations based on the centers of pop culture. California, New York, Miami in the '80s, and London in the '60s (not an American city but the source of a pop culture craze in America in that period).

If a city doesn't share that theme in common it's not a GTA city.
