Almost Under 8.00.

So sad really. It was 9.78 almost a week ago. Take-Two needs to do something fast.

This is across the broad for games stocks. Investors are just too stupid and read too much into NPD numbers which don't reflect the entire industry. Uncertaintity causes volatility in Take-Two's case. Even though they have a big lineup. Borderlands 2 alone has the third highest number of preorders for T2 ever (after GTAIV and GTASA), and with BioShock and GTAV coming...

But yes I do not think R* is going to make their decisions based upon the rollercoaster nature of the parent company's stock price.

Fun fact: 40-70% of stocks in the U.S. are traded by computers that make decisions based on patterns (i.e. not actual humans, but robots).

Also, in 3 minutes, US markets are often subject to a phenomenon called "3 o'clock reversal" ... stay tuned.

What did they expect after yesterday's conference call? I was just at Gamespot.com, and I couldn't believe there's an article about Agent with the headline...Take-Two addresses Agent absence. Of course by address, they mean Take-Two chairman and chief executive Strauss Zelnick said, "We haven't announced anything about [Agent] yet."

Yes, yesterday's conference call was an embarrassment to the company and basically confirmed that Rockstar is the reason TTWO is alive. Rockstar runs their sh*t, and Rockstar says they want a big surprise with GTA V. TTWO is stuck in this, they must listen to Rockstar (and it is likely best if they do), but this last conference call + today's price action very well may throw a cog in the gears of Rockstar's money making machine.

Edit: U can look at Google or Yahoo charts to see past price action. Yesterday was just below $9, aka nothing near this bad.

Gonna go shower and let it play out -- it's bad idea for an investor to stare at a stock's price during times like these. I'm not getting out of the position until 12/12/12 anyways wink.gif

And then think about that harder. If Borderlands 2 has the 3rd most T2 pre-orders ever, but yet Take 2 still expects to make more money from Rockstar than 2K including Bioshock and all their other games... GTA NEEDS to come out before 2013. They might get a lot of sales the first few weeks, but still think of how much sales they still make for months after release.

They can't go bankrupty. That's impossible. Before that's happen EA or Activision would buy them. And before that happen the investors would have to give it a go or not. Current value of the shares: $7.97.

I hope R* will never leave Take 2.

Take 2 is giving them all the time they need to create a better game.
