Personally I enjoy the GTA III era more because it was much more fun with all the glitches and eastereggs! Although I like the GTA IV engine, for me GTA IV was also boring as all the games were set in liberty city and most had bad storylines and characters, unlike the GTA III series what about you?

I enjoy III era a lot more mainly because these games are actually challenging unlike IV where most of missions were easy but overal both eras have great storylines and characters

Actually I love any GTA game except GTA LCS and VCS. The IV era is good fr guys who think that III era games were unrealistic and looked like cartoons. The III era is good for guys who say that the old classics can never go down. I am a combination of these two. But I don't say that the III era games are unrealistic and cartoons since my favourite is San Andreas, but I say that I love IV because it looks modern.

For me, the GTA IV era was derived of that magic feel all GTA III era games had. That's why I like GTA III era more.

i dont know.
GTA IV and LOST AND DAMNED werent so cool(lost and damned was the worst of all)
but the ballad of gay tony was awesome(i loved the drinking and dancing options and the parachute return)
san andreas had an awesome map and a lot of options and planes!
and gta vice city skimmer was my favorite plane!
so i dont know wich one is better cause both are really awesome but i think GTA V will be the best era!(Los Santos and Countryside Bitches!!!)

Yes. Absolutely. GTA4 era sucks. I have yet to play a videogame as stylish and cool as Vice City.

Difficult decision. On one hand I have so many fond memories of the GTA III era, but on the other I just can't play the games with as much enthusiasm.

GTA IV is a fantastic game, but VC is still close to my heart. So for all intentions of this poll I'd say they're both equally as good.

I'd say yes. Other than GTA IV and TBoGT multilayer the rest of the GTA IV era gets boring really quickly. I still do playthroughs of San An regularly and don't get tired of them. In fact I'd say I've done 50 + playthroughs of San An, which is still tiny compared to Lil Weasel. He's a madman.

Excuse me guys, but I´m going to compare the PS2 era with this generation of consoles(360/PS3). Imo it´s more fair do this than compare by number of the era.

Right now I have better memories from III era, but imo we haven´t seen a true GTA this generation.
I mean,IV is an amazing game, but was the first attempt with the HD,this implies a new engine and a lot of issues and problems related with a new hardware.Also ,GTA IV is a proyect of just 3 years of development , R* went really quickly
from one gen to another and this probably provoked the lack of things like some ideas,concepts, a bigger map, better graphics... etc.

GTA V will be a game with 5 years of development, with the experience in this generation and this 5 years of work I assume that R* will do the best gta ever.

In one year from now, we will be able to answer that question.

Still....they haven't made alot for the IV era yet.

But....on the other hand i loved that IV was taken place/from New York, so i'm going for both.
