I don't know if this is relevant anymore but I just chucked my GTA disc in and I've just gone past that point so you can hear it all over the radio. They clearly say that the fire marshalls suspected arson even if they put it down to an electrical fire.

After "That special someone" and I Let Darko live I got a text during the deal/revenge choice from roman saying "Killing Darko didn't solve anything" despite not having killed him. possibly a one of bug but i found it curious.

@ elizebeta/EFLC - i look at it as an "alternate" storyline - almost as though each of the 3 storylines take place in alternate timelines. I know it's a cop out, and i'm just ignoring it, but i hadn't actually noticed the elzibeta thing before.


@Miamivicecity - bulgarin's a big fish. I suspect that Michelle/Karen's assignment on Niko was connected to him. I think bulgarin either staged his death or was believed to be dead, so he could use alternate identities to enter the country easier.

I hope V has better chronology structure. GTA IV, RDR - both games suffer from the problem that if you don't do missions in a very specific order, the conversations often make little or no sense. That should be addressed i think, with alternate conversations/cutscenes for missions.

Yeah I think the bridges being open from the beginning in TLAD/BOGT are the closest things to "plot holes", although there's a very good reason for them being so.

The bridges are closed because the mayor fears terrorism. However, Alderney is open right after the bank is robbed, with large police casualities.

That should seal it. But I can't explain how the Hickey Bridge would be open before Algonquin is unlocked in IV so that's all I can think of. I would've put Niko doing Elizabeta's last two missions while Johnny's doing Elizabeta's three because of her paranoia in the cutscenes but Packie's missions are unlocked by "Have a Heart" and Packie's mission unlocks Alderney.

Then how in your opinion Johnny got to Algonquin in "It's War" if bridge to Algonquin is closed? Bridges are not closed in add-ons because both Klebitz and Lopez have US citizenship. Can you imagine closing all bridges in NYC because of terrorist threat? Let's say this road blocks are something like control points. Niko doesn't have any papers stating that he has right to be there, so he can't cross them. Johnny and Luis were born in US, so they can drive freely around the city. I know that you may say, that R* should leave them for Johhny and Luis, so you need to stop and show your ID to drive further, but I believe that people will be ranting that they can't drive thru this sh*t (like it happened with booths on East Borough Bridge).
