Yeah, Rockstar accidentally submitted the original build of the game which includes that song, and it's been flagged like mad again, so now Rockstar has to re-submit the WHOLE GAME as the Greatest Hits Build instead which didn't include the track.

I expect them to make a note of this otherwise we're going to get Lionel Ritchie causing problems for Vice City followed by the Haitians! tounge.gif

Actually, I just ripped the radio station from my Greatest Hits version for use with the steam version and the track still exists on it. Basically, the greatest hits version is a 1:1 copy of the original (none of the files exceed October '01) unlike Vice City.

Any updates on this? Or are R* still forsaking the game that made them rich and famous in the first place?

Ah hell, most of the people who worked on GTA3 are gone, must be why they dont give a care to get this game out at all.

Grand Theft Auto III will arrive on the PlayStation Network September 25, according to a product listing on the PlayStation Asia website. A Rockstar Games representative was not immediately available for comment.

All buttons in GTA III on PS2 were pressure sensitive.

Does the accelerator work similar to how it does in Gran Turismo (i.e the car will accelerate realistically)?

In my opinion cars accelerate quite realistically. Generally it depends on how hard you press the acceleration button. Lighter the press, slower acceleration and to lower maximum speed. I've felt three levels of the press, so it's not too many, but it works well.

Yeah I tried switching to the classic controls on GTA IV (PS3) and the accelerator (X) is definitely not pressure sensitive. The standard controls with R2 as the accelerator is though.

I'm actually looking forward to play Grand Theft Auto III on the PS3 for the very first time. icon14.gif Question is, What's the size of the game? Is it the same just like the PS2 days?

It will be exactly the same game. It will be a direct port of the PS2 version.

If what you say is really true, then I am going to praise Rockstar for this.

@Haashir911: I personally think that the trophies will ruin the game. If it is GTA III, let it remain GTA III I say. It would be nothing wrong if it was GTA IV, but in GTA III, where the trophies were never meant to be a part of the game (well, especially back in 2001, who'd want to argue?), adding them now would be not just useless but even harmful as it would totally ruin the purpose of playing for many players, including me.

The reason is: I am a game maximalist, and if I'm playing any game I like, I try to get the highest results and all awards there are. So in order to completely complete GTA III on PS3, I would have to as well get all the trophies as a part of it - and that would destroy the purpose of playing the game for your fun. I think you got my point. It's just my point anyway, let me remind you!!!

I'm only assuming this...

How would it be any different?

It's a "PS2 Classic" so yes, it's the Original PS2 version, the Greatest Hits build which had the song removed. Kotaku went on a bit of a rant about the size (over 4GB), apparently they didn't know the 10th Anniversary Edition had all it's audio converted to MP3.

What was it originally? Does it sound better or worse with mp3 conversions?
