Hey guys, I'm currently planning to buy my first car and i narrowed it down to two cars.( My budget is £500)

1.Hyundai coupe 1997

2.Honda Accord

About me:

I am 21 year old male who is currently doing masters. I have a monthly commute of 100-200 kms.

Which of the above three cars have cheap insurance group and have good mileage.
Also, Could I add my Sister as a second driver to bring down the cost of insurance?( She is 29 yrs old)

should i buy any one of the above cars or should i buy a small car Like This
Or can anyone suggest a small car with cheap insurance.

Thanks @sivispacem smile.gif

You won't get cheap insurance on any of them. Least of all the S3. In fact, you'd get laughed out of any insurance company in the land at 21 with no NCB and no driving experience. I also suspect that S3 is stolen- no log book, "spares only", priced one tenth of retail. Buy a small, cheap car- that's my suggestion. Don't be picky, and don't go out for anything in particular. You just want something that is cheap to buy and works- that's basically it.

Also, it looks like you've probably given your postcode to an entire forum full of people.

Because of insurance you have a terrible selection of cars to choose from so will most likely end up with a small low-displacement hatchback (<1.4L) like everyone else (no one actually likes driving them lol, I guess it's like a rite of passage).

At £500 you will be looking at quite an old car, so its reliability will mainly dependent on the car having a good service history.
