One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is an American classic. Jack Nicholson plays a great brash crook, Louise Fletcher greatly portrays a cold and steely nurse and the rest of the cast plays the roles to the fullest extent. All residents of the mental institution are vastly disparate from each other, personality-wise, making their altercations well-scripted and quite funny (at points). The plot is very original and well-written. I've never seen a movie with such uniqueness and cleverness. The secondary roles of Chief, Billy, Harding, Cheswick, Martini and Taber only add greatness to a great movie set up by great starring actors and directed by the great Miloš Forman. All in all, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is one of my top movies and it is simply spectacular.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World didn't really appeal to me. Michael Cera, who never really meant much to me, was decent, but Mary Elizabeth Winstead, I feel, played a very good Ramona Flowers. The plot, though original for a comedy film, became boring and uninteresting as it went on. Scott having to defeat all Ramona's evil exes got too repetitive after like number three. Most of the exes were halfwits, making me feel as if I was losing brain cells throughout the movie. The comedy was cheap, at best, and I was better off just rereading the comic books again (which are awesome).
+1 for One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Another interesting battle we got here. Almost unwatchable drama showing people with serious problems versus great touching movie with funny moments. SPVTW versus OFOTCN.
First movie as I already stated is pure A grade crap, hard to watch without any form of stimulant, which let you sit thru this atrocity. If you gave a lot of money to Power Rangers producers they will probably spawn similar crap. Acting was terrible and totally unnatural (wooden Scott, pompous Ramona and totally insignificant rest. Only actress that was somewhat good was this asian chick - she was overdrawn, crazy and totally stereotypic, but it was actually funny). Ideas taken into this movie (they were probably identical in comic book) were so bad that I can't find words to describe it. Guy got superpowers, because he was a vegan - really? And he lost them, because he thought that chicken is vegan dish (I know it wasn't exactly that and chicken wasn't the final nail to his coffin, but you catch my drift). Another guy was riding on skateboard around 300 km/h and finally exploaded in giant mushroom cloud. What kind of drugs I had to swallow to watch this? Maybe they should add them to your ticket? Jokes were also terrible and shallow: ("You're dating 16 years old? You can't", said person A. "You're dating 16 years old? You can't", said person B) How old I should be to laugh from jokes like that? 5?
Ideas concerning the story were also not very bright. Identity of the last Ex was known straight from the moment when Scott found out that he will have to defeat 7 of these clowns to get Ramona's heart. Enemies were turning into coins after defeating, but it didn't have any point in the story (it had at first time, but later it was forgotten).
Only thing that was actually worth something was OST filled with alternative rock songs.
I heard that this movie appeals for all old school games fans, hipsters and similar people. Looks like I'm neither of them, because I think this movie was sh*t and I won't see it again, even if you'll pay me.
OFOTCN is one of these movies that won't be forgotten. You simply won't forget people like McMurphy (Nicholson acting is considered by many as best male role in history of cinema), Cheswick, Martini (briliant DeVito), Harding, Bromden, Bancini, Billy, Taber (one of best roles of C. Lloyd) or sister Ratched (artificially warm outside and cold as stone inside) They were simply fantastic and perfectly creates every second of the movie with their faces.
You can't erase touching scenes like fishing, basketball, Sedwick's riot and many many more. I doesn't matter how many words I'll write about this movie it will be not enough. One of the milestones in history of cinema and one of the movies that deserve high position like almost no other here.
+1 for One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
