So I've been watching the trailer again and I'm sure this has been mentioned numerous times but I was hoping we could share our thoughts on what kind of interactive elements we would like to see?

Before that, rewind back to San Andreas. I think this is one of the first notable moments where pedestrians interact with you in terms of how you look etc.

It is my guess that they have ramped it up in V, purely from what we've seen in the debut trailer.

So with that in mind.. what kind of interactions would you like to see?

I would personally love the ability to engage in simple conversation (as we saw in San andreas) where you could give a positive/negative response to NPC's

In addition, I would love to see the ability to perform gestures at NPCs and characters such as romantic or intimidatory actions (hugs, holding hands, threatening etc)

Do you think rockstar was teasing with how the pedestrians react to their surroundings? do you think there is a whole load of exciting stuff ahead on that front? smile.gif

I hope to see lots. smile.gif

Like how people act when they're drunk, stoned or had too much drugs for example. xD

The trailer was probably just cutscenes, so you can't really confirm gameplay features such as interactivity form the trailer.

I hope they continue the reply positively or negatively to random NPC comments like in San Andreas, that was something I would do when I didn't feel like doing missions.

INteraction is a must. I believe that we should be able to get sticky bombs to stick on people and watch them blow up when they start interacting with other peds. Is that good enough OP?

A simple yes/no system is enough.. gestures? No.. a simple dialog system is useful, gestures are just gimmicky.

The more interaction there is the better. The dream would be where every special NPC that has some use, shop owners, regulars at bars, cashiers etc. never got replaced and had a permanent spot in the world and could be interacted with like in Skyrim where you have multiple dialogue choices and they're all voiced. Some may say it doesn't fit GTA, but I think ti does, GTA is all about crossing genres. I'm not saying turn it into a RPG, just implement the interaction system. It would surely add replay value, especially if dialogue choices affect your story's outcome. Anyway, since i think audio takes up the most size of a game, I don't see this being implemented for like 2 gens. The game would have to be HUGE if all the characters in a GTA had to be voiced in this way.

Why not gestures? Maybe at least you can wave at someone(like in RDR, but that was tipping the hat right)? or do a handshake by going near a ped and pressing a specific button. Then suddenly you pointed a gun at that ped and do extortion. Another interaction right?

yeah I figure that could be handled by the yes/no buttons.. yes is a positive greet, no a negative one or a threat.
