I believe San Andreas is the best GTA so far in terms of features, quantity, vast open space and length of the game. In my eyes, GTA V will be the San Andreas of this generation; only better!
Liberty City Stories remains my most played GTA game because of it's story and voice acting. Not to mention it was my first GTA game that I actually owned (instead of borrowing GTA III and SA) which meant I played a lot of it before I actually bought every game in the series
I picked GTA V cause even do I never played it "yet" this is the most hype game I ever seen in my life! I check the forums and R* newswire 24/7!! I wasint no were near as hype for gta4 that I am now! <# <#
its the best, best storyline, best protag, best city and best realism, i really liked them all, but i loved GTA IV because whas my first PS3 game, and vicecity my first PS2 game

San Andreas for me. Why? Well, it had planes, a huge map, surrounding areas, restricted area and much more. It is a game I can play and have played numerous times. The variates of activities in the game such as the gym were just awesome. It was filled with a boat load of cheats and many mods have been created by players.
It had a wild ride of a storyline in my opinion I don't think it was my favourite storyline but the missions were awesome. Those type of missions with more of a variety in them would be amazing. What a crazy journey that game was, now it's time to return to San Andreas in V..
Excuse me, what is this sh*t? The OP clearly knows nothing about GTA if he calls it 'the best GTA game ever made so far' but puts GTA V in it. Also he has the choices: Ballad of Gay Tony, The Lost and Damned, but also Episodes From Liberty City. It should either be the first two or just the EFLC...
By the results I can see that I'm a minority here but I'm going to have to say Tbogt. To me the missions just more feel epic than IV or Tlad, And I know a lot of people HATE the story (and Luis for reasons I really don't understand). Honestly I find nothing wrong with it. And all the features are way better than Tlad imo.
I'll kill as many animals in GTA as I damn well please Group: Members

GTA 4 and it's expansions were my favorite, I loved Vice City, but never was able to get into it like GTA 4. San Andreas was just too gang oriented for me, and too crazy. And GTA 3 just seemed kind of dull to me.
