I know this is not releated to GTAV but in a way it kinda of is. Anyway all thru out the forums I always hear that the past GTA's like "Vice City and "San Andreas" was WAY better than GTAIV, so I wanna know in YOUR OPINION: What's the best GTA game you ever played!?!?!?

I think GTA IV was the best. I know lots will disagree but, even though SA ad VC had the content and music, R* put LOTS of detail into IV and I have to say, it is just an amazing game.

I'm pretty sure GTA V will take that place because it's gonna' be like quality and quantity.

till now the best is GTA SA and then GTA IV..i got high expectations in GTA V, i hope it will be the best gta game ever

While GTA IV is my favorite today for obvious reasons, GTA III was so revolutionary when it came out that it takes the spot in my opinion. Just look at it side by side to Driver. They were pretty much "it" when it comes to open-world driving games. III was just so f*ckin awesome. It left your jaw on the floor.

I must say that I enjoyed San Andreas the most because it was the pinnacle of that generation of GTA games and had the most features, the biggest map and what not. But I appreciate GTAIV a lot more because it was a whole new beginning and it did a LOT for the series. Many of people miss just how important GTAIV was. You can't not appreciate the amount of work that obviously went into it. It gives me hope that the next few games will build upon the foundation that was set by GTAIV just like VD ans SA build upon III's foundation. My vote goes to GTAIV.

GTA IV perhaps is the best - technically, realism, atmosphere. However Niko is not the best protagonist of GTA's

But Vice City has so much "soul" which other GTA doesn't have

SA is my favorite. I can play it 100 times and it never gets old. GTA IV is awesome, but got boring on a couple of missions.

I'm incredibly surprised GTA IV is so far considered the best. If you grew up with the games and played them all it definitely wouldn't be your favourite...

Anyway, my vote is Vice City - the atmosphere and story is amazing!

Possibly, many of the voters just does not play in Vice City or GTA III because of age

I believe San Andreas is the best GTA so far in terms of features, quantity, vast open space and length of the game. In my eyes, GTA V will be the San Andreas of this generation; only better!
