Oh come on, that's just another post about something fan-made that's somehow related to GTA, this time it's an 8 bit version of a VC mission. They do those more or less regularly.

As part of The Majami Hiroz Show channel on YouTube (pronounced 'miami heroes' - a nostalgic "Welcome to the 80's" themed channel that pays tribute to 1980s music, movies and games in the form of original 8-bit homages), we stumbled upon their latest entry: "GTA: Vice City - Final Mission (C64 Version)".
An awesome little re-imagining of the denouement of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, "Keep Your Friends Close" - the bloody grand finale shootout at the Vercetti mansion rendered as a believable 1980s 8-bit arcade experience complete with midi-style audio, vintage pixel effects, and other appropriate trimmings.
Spoiler alert: if you never actually finished Vice City, you might not want to have the ending revealed to you through this 8-bit depiction - in which case, we recommend finishing up those old affairs properly.
EDIT: Well, at least it's pretty cool. But I doubt this has anything to do with V.

Well at least they are being more open to GTA again. That's how I am looking at it, even if this update means nothing for GTA 5, they are flirting with the idea of GTA again.

This. Every game was taboo for Rockstar in the promotion campaign of Max Payne 3. At least it slows down now and we don't hear whatever about Max Payne 3 and that 3 times per day like in the last months.

Max Payne 3 news started like that... Previous Max Payne titles.. And then Max Payne 3.. Rockstar is doing a timeline to GTA V? First GTA related thing after Max Payne 3's news= GTA 1 with GTA IV graphs Second new= GTA VC What's next ? GTA SA related new, and then GTA IV related new and then GTA V ?

I'm not saying that this isn't a good thing; I'm just saying that that's precisely what everyone had expected; news about MP3 slow down in July, come to an (almost) halt in August.
It's just the MP3 main marketing campaign ending.
Since they don't have much to post about MP3 anymore, they HAVE to post something else to keep people interested and "tuned in" to the Newswire.
And what's the game everyone knows by R*? GTA. That's why there's more of that now.
As I've said a million times before, I'd love this to have something to do with V. But I just don't see it.

That makes sense Haha.
What would be cool is to see them do like a comparison of the old San Andreas with the new locations in V as a newswire.

Rockstar really talked about MP1 & MP2 before the prmotion of MP3? That's interesting...

Another GTA thing on Newswire!
Too bad not GTA V.
How much trolling can we withstand??
You call this trolling? I think we'll hear something about GTA V soon. Max Payne 3 promotion already slowed down drastically.

This is more for August... when they finally will start talking about GTA V... This is awesome news for me...

BTW this sounds plausible.
They are searching for GTA remixes on YT.
If some next update will be something about San Andreas (or any other GTA), then I think it will be certain that something's going on, and next thing on newswire might be about GTA IV, and then GTA V.

Yeah, you understand me... I'm glad about it... Anyway... I remember playing the last mission of VC damn... The best game that 'ive played in 2002... VC was awesome... VCS was awesome too.
Some people think Rockstar does nostalgic posts about a series as a warm up to actual news. Though in the case of all the GTA III posts before GTA V was announced, there was an actual product in the new mobile version of GTA III.
