| QUOTE (glenn tha killer @ Friday, Jul 27 2012, 00:11) | No you know what f*ck it, your just another bunch of stupid foreigners that don`t know sh*t about my country, people or culture. Dublin is the name of the city I live in, there`s no such thing as St.Dublin, and its way beyond me why an Italian mafia made by 1840`s Irish immigrants that had Thompson s would even be relivent to a make believe Catholic Saint. And to make it worse everyone in the gang are ignorant Americans ha.
Stupid Irish loving Americans, they never know sh*t...
@Nic, No, lad, it makes no sence, and when its bullsh*t about my country I`ll always take it seriously.
Edit: Also its not too late. | Haha get em Glenn

if i offended ireland i know dublin is a city in Ireland but i seriously looked to see if anyone had a name like what i made and we are PS3 |
Ok, right. First of all establish what you are. Your mixed up with time, and history. There`s three ways you could go. 1800`s street gang, 30`s-40`s Mobs, or 60`s-70`s-80`s Neighborhood thugs. Theres also actual gangs in Ireland. I can send you links, tell you what books to get if you`re a real fan and also give you my two cents on how to keep the culture while leading your gang in the best way possible. Just tell me what and all inform you in the best way. |
I jsut thought I`d show that to the members to.
And yeah its fine lads, sh*t happens. | yea seriously sorry i shouldn't gone stupid

Alright grand. So, you`d want to find out a tiny bit about that. So the blight which effects the stem of the potato came. Everyone depended on the potato crop, taxes were payed by potato to mainly British protestant Land Lords who rented out homes, farms and shops. The reason why it effected the food its self was because the stem provided nutrients to it, therefore when the stem rots the actually potato becomes a black mush. Now more people left then died, and the majority went on trading ships that were used to smuggle them in for extra pay for the crew or company. A famous famine ship is the Dunbrody ( Click here). They were nick named Coffin Ships due to the hundreds who died on board. Many people had to collect enough money when they could, and leave there towns to the nearest port in the middle of the night. Many people disappeared because they were in fear of the land lords finding out and removing everything they owned, including the money they needed to leave. Money wasn`t to be sent home, nor was letters. Many elderly parents were thrown of there land because the lord found out money was being sent back to pay taxes from there run away family. Ok, so now the gangs. I suggest you look into the book `Paddy Wacked` by T.J English. So basically you had these street gangs, mainly Irish ones. Especial in the 5 points area of New York. They had conflicts with the patriotic Americans who were more northern 5 points. THe Gangs of New York is a dramtic but realistic account of Irish gangs. You had the Dead Rabbits, Whyos, Forty Thieves, Kerryonians, Roach Guards, you can find out more Here.I`ll get you more info now. Seems how your gone till tomorrow, I`ll have time to prepare more facts that may help you.

| QUOTE (glenn tha killer @ Friday, Jul 27 2012, 01:15) | Right, so the gangs would of used melee weapons, and for the majority of the Whoy`s time the US (Well at least NY did) had two police forces, one for each political party ( As in Democrates and, the other brosky`s). And the end of the day, the police would end up in shoot outs with each other. The Whyos had two leaders, were involved in prostitution, extortion and the usual stuff.
| QUOTE (Wikipedia) | Aside from committing many crimes, the Whyos also offered specific criminal services for a price. The following list was found on Piker Ryan when he was arrested by the NYPD in 1884.
Punching $1 Both eyes blacked $3 Nose and jaw broke $7 Jacked out (knocked out with a Blackjack) $15 Ear chewed off $15 Leg or arm broke $19 Shot in the leg $20 Stab $21.50 "Doing the big job" (murder) $100 and up
