So I've installed the GTA IV weapon sound mod for GTA SA a while ago and I wanted to remove it but it won't.
I've tried twice to delete GTA SA completely but the sounds are still in it. I'm running Windows 7 32 bit and version 1.0eu

Doesn't work when you try to remove them from the Control Panel? What kind of mods you installed? File replacements or setup ones? Try to manually delete all files the mod is installing and then use CCleaner.

I've replaced the the files from Bank 137 from the GENRL file with SAAT.

Uhh, I'm not sure how the setup works, but I think it only installs the needed files. Since the installed files are already there (the ones replaced by the sound files), I believe it'll keep those. What I suggest is to delete all replaced files, and then uninstall the game, and do a fresh install.

That's what I've tried but it still kept those sounds.

Anyways, found some backup files, hopefully these will do.

Good luck. In any case, try removing the gta_sa.set file located in the San Andreas User Files folder - those sounds might still be saved in the settings that were used when you had the mod installed.
