Seriously how do you fly this bloody thing ? I'm stumped. I've tryed everything and nothing works.

All I can get it to do is hover very poorly..... It doesn't even stay in the air long enough to pass the mission. I've finished this game more times than I'm proud of but for the love of god I can't remember how to fly it ?

Basically what happens is.

* get in hydra

* hold in x like a helicoper

* try and fly but fail

* lose more and more high till the "jet" lands in the water

It's not a jet it's a failing helicoper how do I fly it like a jet ?

Im guessing you're on PS2 by the X Button, so once you get enough altitude hold the left analogue stick forward for a few seconds and the Hydra will enter flight mode.

hold the right stick up i believe, it changes the mode to full flight

Had same problem, still passed the misison but took 20 minutes (no fails just slow flying)
but I am an ace pilot may your gods help you all on gta v

1.get in hydra
2.press X and get tallest height
3.try to fly
4.before reach the destination push down right analog stick
5.land
6.you'll reach the destination

This is the one and only time I suggest a player use a cheat.
NOT to pass the mission, But to PRACTICE with the HYDRA.
After you practice DO NOT SAVE. Just restart and play the normal game.

Triangel, Triangel, Square, Circle, X, L1, L1, Down, Up

The Game tutural should be telling you which buttons do what.
Don't forget to Raise the Landing Gear once you lift off, and put it down when you land.
TRICKs:
1. blow up the two jets on the hanger deck, the on the side elevator, and the one inboard. Use the one on the stern lift.
2. Once you have altitude and have activated the remaining jet, land under the bridge. The Chase jet will crash.
2a. At altitude go back to hover mode and spin. Alternately engage auto aim as you fire rockets.
3. Fly to the Verdant Meadows Aerodrome and land. Attack the 'ships' from land.
4. Blow up the 'ships' with a missile launcher or other weapon.
5. Return to the Aerodrome and taxi the Hydra to the marker(s).
6. Jump out of the Hydra in the final marker to stop it, if you're moving at a slow speed.

I finally figured it out and passed the mission. You guys helped me out big time thank you
