 Match PS2 Display Settings?

 And regarding duplicate resolutions.

So I have searched this up, and I found this topic. There are two different posts with two different display settings, but I'm not sure if they are correct.

What I'm looking for is to set the display settings in the options menu to match the look of the PS2 graphics. Before you ask why, I don't have a very high-end laptop. At the very least I can run a game like Left 4 Dead 1/2 at low settings. Since there is no way to test what settings I get the best balanced look and performance (and because I'm lazy, haha) I am deciding to go at this with a more "default" approach, so to say. The PS2 graphics are low compared to the default PC settings, so this is why I chose these specific settings.

I was wondering if anyone knows or have display settings to match the graphics settings of the PS2. Currently I am using:

Draw Distance: 0
Frame Limiter: Off
Widescreen: Off
Visual FX Quality: Low
Mip Mapping: Off
Anti Aliasing: Off
Resolution: 640x480x32

I'm not sure how close these resemble the settings on the PS2, so I was wondering if anyone else could provide some input on this.

My second question is regarding the x32 resolutions. It appears I have two of these settings? They range from 640x480x32 to 1440x900x32, and then there is a second set of the same exact resolutions - but they don't look the same it seems. I tested this by switching between the two 640x480x32 resolutions, and I placed my finger on the plus sign cursor thing, and switched to the duplicate resolution, and the cursor thing was not in the same spot as the other duplicated resolution.

Any explanation for this too? It would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, but sadly I'm not looking for a mod. Just some settings that would match the PS2 look, like the ones I listed in the OP; Draw Distance, Frame Limiter, Widescreen, Visual FX Quality, Mip Mapping, Anti Aliasing, and Resolution.

For example, some people say that to match the Shadow settings from the console version on the PC, you would set the quality to Medium. But in this case, I'm looking for display settings in the options menu of GTA SA to match the PS2's locked settings.

Also, apologies to the mods since this was originally in the wrong section. I completely missed this child-board and should have though of putting it here.

You misunderstand the situation he doesn't want the Great PC video he wants to downgrade it to the fuzzy PS2-TV picture.

And it isn't necessary to quote large replies.

Yeah. Since the PS2 has lower graphics than the PC's default settings, I'm looking for Advanced Settings to match the Visual FX, Draw Distance, Resolution etc. Kind of like some benchmark settings, you know what I mean?

EDIT: So now for a fact I know the PS2's Visual FX was Low. Still no clue about the draw distance though or resolution. I know the DD is around three and for now I'm keeping the resolution at 640x480x32 since most TVs then were in 480p.

Also, does anyone have any clue on this duplicate x32 resolution thing? I'll take a screenshot next time comparing them.

So all settings set to their lowest would be as close as possible? Are you sure?

I was comparing some GTA SA PS2 cutscenes with my game, and the draw distance is somewhere around three. Just an estimate though after testing it.

Apologies for the double post.

Anyone have any idea on the double resolution thing?
