So I have searched this up, and I found
this topic. There are two different posts with two different display settings, but I'm not sure if they are correct.
What I'm looking for is to set the display settings in the options menu to match the look of the PS2 graphics.
Before you ask why, I don't have a very high-end laptop. At the very least I can run a game like Left 4 Dead 1/2 at low settings. Since there is no way to test what settings I get the best balanced look and performance (and because I'm lazy, haha) I am deciding to go at this with a more "default" approach, so to say. The PS2 graphics are low compared to the default PC settings, so this is why I chose these specific settings.
I was wondering if anyone knows or have display settings to match the graphics settings of the PS2. Currently I am using:
Draw Distance: 0
Frame Limiter: Off
Widescreen: Off
Visual FX Quality: Low
Mip Mapping: Off
Anti Aliasing: Off
Resolution: 640x480x32
I'm not sure how close these resemble the settings on the PS2, so I was wondering if anyone else could provide some input on this.
My second question is regarding the x32 resolutions. It appears I have two of these settings? They range from 640x480x32 to 1440x900x32, and then there is a second set of the same exact resolutions - but they don't look the same it seems. I tested this by switching between the two 640x480x32 resolutions, and I placed my finger on the plus sign cursor thing, and switched to the duplicate resolution, and the cursor thing was not in the same spot as the other duplicated resolution.
Any explanation for this too? It would be greatly appreciated.
