| QUOTE (NateShaw92 @ Saturday, Aug 4 2012, 23:45) | Say if he goes to arsenal, his shirt on your team will change to the arsenal shirt if he goes to say Broussia Dortmund then he will be blank i think and your team incomplete | Also, from the horses ass... I mean mouth.
| QUOTE | Q: My player has left the Barclays Premier League. What do I do now?
A: You can leave the player in your squad, where he will continue to earn 0 points. To remove him permanently, you must use a transfer.
Q: What happens if a player is transferred to another Barclays Premier League team?
A: If a player is transferred to another team in the Barclays Premier League, and this transfer takes you over the 3 players per team limit, then you will need to go back under the limit when making your next transfers. |

It was done a number of years ago and we got about 25 folk, but the Footy chat was more active then, I'll post a little reminder in the Desk in case folk haven't looked in the main Sports forum topic list for for a while (due to topic subscriptions taking them straight into the Desk) | It was also done last year and the year before. Whoever initially made the league must have renewed it each season, which automatically re-enters all the teams that had previously competed in it. Just entered my team. Fear the Downtown Browns. No way I'm going to post a screenshot so soon, wouldn't want to give y'all any help

C'mon dude, don't be a cheater, you can do transfers after post your screenshot......as I did. | Yeah, you can change your whole team if you wanted, even after you post a screenshot. I have no intentions of changing my team again. I've changed mine about 6 times and I've made a slightly risky move in my team and I'm keeping it that way.

You need to. With all starters coming from merely 4 teams, that sh*ts gonna faaaiiil |
I disagree. That tactic worked well for me last season, I was amongst the top 3 for quite some time until I stopped bothering to keep up to date. Think about it; I have a defence and goalkeeper composed of Chelsea and Manchester City players. So whenever City or Chelsea keep a clean sheet (which should be every game on paper, barring when they play each other or another top team) I get a bunch of clean sheet bonuses on top of the points these top players are going to win through tackling etc. Rooney is ( was) United's main striker, he's going to score a ton of goals on paper. He's going to get a bunch of these goals from assists from players such as Kagawa and Valencia who themselves should chip in with the odd goal too. I expect Yaya Toure to score and assist by the hatful and Allen and Lucas are just a hunch that they will make a lot of passes and make a few assists in Rodgers' passing Liverpool team. Cheap too. On the bench I have three QPR players who I will swap in whenever either United, City, Chelsea or Liverpool come up against a team I believe they will struggle against (which, again, on paper shouldn't be that often). If you spread out your team too thin, you are going to miss out on winning bountiful clean sheet bonuses. It's counter-productive to have attackers you want to score and assist in the same team as defenders who you want to keep a clean sheet. Look at beep41's team for example. If Jags scores a goal against United, de Gea loses his clean sheet bonus. If United win, Jagielka loses his. If Bale or Van der Vaart score, Simpson loses his. Any time where counter-productive clashes are unavoidable for me (say in a Super Sunday lineup when United play Liverpool and City play Chelsea for example) I just write it off, switch in the QPR players for the team most likely to lose and hope for the best. I watch the performances of the teams for a few week and if one team has had a particularly sh*te start the season I swap their players out for a team that is performing better than expected with the transfers I've saved up. /essay In other words, we'll f*cking see next week Cacti This post has been edited by SIKKS66 on Thursday, Aug 16 2012, 03:42

I may not have all the stats on hand, but Chelsea let in a fair amount of goals last season, didn't they? Off the top of my head, I want to say even when they won they conceded about a goal/game on average. Clean sheets are obviously good for points, but at least from my experience they merely serve as a bonus to what your offense serves up. Every top team I've ever seen in fantasy league has a big portion of their points coming from strikers and midfielders. But who knows, maybe it'll pay off for you again this season, but I doubt it.
And why would you let your team fizzle out if you were among the top 3? I call shenanigans!
Personally, I've always gone for the emphasis on strikers and midfielders with budgeted defenders/keeper (generally only one expensive defender, like Ashley Cole or Evra). My performance last season turned out to be painfully average but somehow I ended up like 4th or 5th in the GTA league...so, i'm not sure placement in GTA league is best reference for judgement.
I'm interested to see how your team turns out if you keep it that way. Good luck!
