[CJ killed Ryder]

I just completed the storyline of Vice City and came up with a theory...

Lance Vance did not dance his last dance!!! Tommy injured him, not killed him!!! I think this because in the last cutscene of Vice City, Ken Rosenburg says:

"Tommy. I never liked that guy, OK? He IS neurotic, he IS insecure, he IS self-centered - the guy IS an asshole!"

He says IS, not WAS...

By the way, it was common in GTA III era that a character was seemingly killed, but actually survived. Think about Rico, think about the Psycho Killer, think about Miguel...

Perhaps we might see Lance Vance back in Grand Theft Auto V...

Ken knows Tommy shot at him because he said "I'm glad you took him out".

Perhaps Tommy injured Lance.

Talking to dead people is kind of a weird thing to me... Out of character for Tommy.

Vic and Lance are both alive, or were after VC. Lance is injured after the shots he takes from Tommy's gun but manages to get up after the fight in the mansion is over and flies off to the nearest hospital in that helicopter. (which is why the heli is not on the roof after the mission is over)

Lance checks himself in and decides to live in San Andreas under federal protection and never ever again is seen in Vice City.

Vic is shot by the Diaz hitmen during the deal at the start of the game but is rescued by Phil Cassidy after he drives to his old place and finds his good friend laying there. Vic is also driven to hospital and once he recovers, he moves out to another city in USA where he promises himself to never again talk to Lance since he only got him into trouble and at this point, shot to the point where Lance believes he's dead.

The game is fictional and has no continuing unless confirmed, so it's up to you to make up your own stories where GTA has left off with the characters.
