How to tell if somebody's online?

Riding On In The Midst Of Morning Group: Members Joined: Feb 26, 2011	Hey guys. I've noticed that next to a user's username, there is a picture of a lightbulb-looking thing, and it's either "lit" or "unlit". Is this a way to tell if a user is online, or is it just for show?

Resident Ginger Group: Zaibatsu Joined: Apr 10, 2006	If the light is lit, they're online. If it's not lit, they're not online. Some people like myself, and other staff members online anonymous users, and it always show's it us as offline.
