So we have seen cigarettes in GTA, but if I'm not mistaken then protagonists never smoked even in cutscenes. Do you think a feature of smoking should be added, maybe to increase health or something?

Smoking was seen in Vice City but you had to enter a cheat. But smoking in V should be something completely different the cigar should be bought from shops and it should end after about 15 minutes of smoking.

In all seriousness, it is likely smoking could appear but there won't be a special controller button for it. It will probably just happen at random. I thought it was really cool when you bought a drink or hotdog in previous GTAs and Niko/CJ would actually eat it and throw the scraps on the floor, and the bottle wouldn't just vanish.

Maybe there is a vending machine to buy cigarettes or something.

He's pretty much the only protagonist in Rockstar's games who lights the occasional smoke, but he doesn't do it that regularly, either.

I don't recall there being others. Not even Cole Phelps, who lived in a time were cigarette's health issues weren't really developed therein a lot of people smoked.

Even CJ didn't smoke, which I found to be quite surprising, judging by his life and people he hangs around. I'm against smoking in GTA, it just doesn't seem right.

In RDR you can chew tobacco and that will increase your Dead Eye, I wouldn't mind if a system like that is implemented.

Yeah let's have realistic cigarettes and realistic sitting in hospital with lung cancer for 90% of the game.

Peds and friends should also try to avoid our character because of bad breath aswell, and your character should be wrinkly with mouldy, rotten teeth.

Please quote where I stated that drinking is also fine.
Besides, drinking is more a social thing and is not so bad if only done very rarely.

Smoking is what poor people do when their life sucks and they complain they have no money yet waste it away on a stick with chemicals in it to make them feel better when it does the complete opposite.

People who drink 24/7 though are just as bad as smokers.
