wasn't it less gory or Something along those lines? | No, the characters were just really, really boring. The original climaxed with you being hunted in the dark by Piggsy, an obese man in a pig mask. It was a terrifying experience. The Smileys were also an amazing gang, in that they weren't evil, just ill. When you killed one of them, they would sometimes thank you for ending their pain. It was such a clever game and went far beyond the gorno you might expect from its premise. Manhunt 2 had no interesting characters, the whole game revolved around a Fight Club-esque split personality plot device and the antagonists were bland and interchangeable. To be fair, I would have been far happier if the original was merely a stand alone game. There was never a need for a sequel. However, Rockstar should bring out a Directors Cut with the omitted characters included.

Go back to playing San Andreas. | No, I went off to playing Saints Row 2, a far better game. And then went on to Saints Row The Third... and promply gouged my eyes out and just played The Ballad of Gay Tony instead.

Problem? I should clarify that I meant Saints Row 2 is a far better game than GTA IV. San Andreas was better than both of those games put together.

Manhunt 1 & 2 were my favorite murder simulators, oh god how many times I've beat them and know everything in them by my heart. Oh wow, truly a masterpiece. I mean, the ending of Manhunt 2 was so unexpected for me and tied all binds together in such a short time it struck me with a blast to explain what happened throughout the story. The first one was purely genius by making you do things no other game has made you to. Max Payne 3 was almost like a FPS game and Dan Houser even admitted it was almost too much like any other company's game, but it doesn't dissapoint as it still gives us more insight in Max Payne's life - he's a badass character. I didn't like multiplayer, but only because I don't like multiplayers in third person shooters. It's not R*'s fault. Vice City Stories is by far my favorite III-era GTA, with story having a deep context and the characters were pushed out to maximum on what that engine could - you can't make much of blocky hands and lifeless faces. I'm sure if it was more like IV, more people would like it, but man, it was so good on its own too. My only complaints would be about Liberty City Stories - crazy hookers and (LCS spoiler, read only if you finished the story or just don't care) your mom trying to kill you, but then I could put San Andreas story in same place. Somehow people like both LCS and SA, even though they both had the worst storylines from all GTA games. But who cares? What matters is the rest of what those both games gave us. The new features such as LCS being III with bikes? Yes. And SA having the biggest GTA map? Hell yeah! Infact, both those games have by far more things and better storylines than most of other games. P.S. To the one who mentioned Table Tennis - it was just purely for showing off what the RAGE engine could do and R* made it playable. It's not a game, it's a benchmark. Too bad we had to pay for it.

Not going to chastise Rockstar for scooping up what Capcom left of Red Dead Revolver, and releasing it. Considering how the game came into being, it could have gone much worse.
I haven't played VCS nor LCS, and the only game I was slightly disappointed by, was L.A. Noire, which while only being published by Rockstar, surely has Rockstar influences all the same. It was a neat concept, and I enjoyed it for a bit, but the value and replayability just wasn't there.
