Hello, I'm playing EFLC on my laptop (HP dv6-1242tx) with a 16:9 screen. Specs are as follows:

Core2 Duo T6500 2.1GHz
4GB DDR2
ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4530 with 512MB graphics

Now I can run the game no worries with everything mostly on low or off; it runs on 1280x720, but not amazingly. I'm aiming to get the game to run on a lower 16:9 resolution (1024x576) using the -width and -height commands but the display ends up really skinny, with two large black bars on both sides of the screen. If I try to run it on any ingame resolution under 1280x720, black bars appear on the sides, even resolutions such as 800x600 and 1024x768. But surely it should work fine with 1024x576? I've tried with and without commands such as -memrestrict and -availablevidmem etc to no avail.

While I'm posting a topic, I thought I'd ask; what sort of performance should I expect with those specs? I understand it shouldn't be amazing but it runs very smoothly on the lower resolutions (with the aforementioned black bars), but I'm not sure if I could potentially be able to play it on a higher resolution and with better graphic settings because my computer may be bogged down with other sh*t haha.

I tried to search about my 16:9 problems but couldn't find anything, sorry.

If any more info is required just ask smile.gif thanks!

Hello. That type of performance is to be expected imo
For the black bars problem, are you sure the game isn't resetting the aspect ratio setting?

Yeah I expected that thanks smile.gif
well it doesn't seem to matter if I change the aspect ratio between auto/4:3/16:9/16:10 etc, the black bars remain. The inverse applies if I were using a 16:9 resolution (1280x720 etc) and changed the aspect ratio settings, black bars wouldn't appear, the picture would just end up stretched or skewed. The black bars also appear if I use a default in-game resolution such as 800x600, 1024x768 etc so it's not the use of the -width and -height parameters.
