What? What's so impossible about adding a TV or bowling to the GTA III era?

^ lol.

I voted (I think, my phone screwed up) just a little, but perhaps I should have put no.
San Andreas was the biggest, most fun packed game of them all, I played that game as much/more than III which is saying a lot since I was like 10 years old when it came out.
The storyline was great it was long, a few twists and there was loads of variety, yes it did get kinda weird and crazy but I enjoyed the hell out of it multiple times. Not only that but there were 3 big cities to visit with vast gaps in between where you could have some fun, racing down highways, driving off mount chiliad, it was great. Then you had boatloads of other side missions to do, lots of challenging races of all types of vehicles, boat school, driving school, bike school, missions for businesses...seems never ending.

Are you speaking seriously? Are you speaking about watch tv in the same way than in GTAIV, with pre-rendered videos and TV ads?
Do you really think that something like this was possible in PS2?

Well I see what you mean now, but I don't understand what's so hard about putting bowling into the GTA III era?

R* achieved a tri city state with countryside and desert on the PS2 yet technology limitations couldn't allow a simple bowling minigame?

Well yeah, but I just find it funny how he suggests bowling was somehow impossible to add hahaha.

P.S I still think GTA IV is better than SA. wink.gif

No. I thought the storyline, gameplay and customization was epic and it is truly in a league of its own.

CJ was a pussy at times but apart from that...

Most over rated- gta iv, it was getting 9.5 and 10 by most reviewers and i think that is much higher then it should have got. Boring missions, Boring setting, Small map and boring story. The only good thing about the game was niko his my favourite protagonist its a shame he couldnt be used for a better game sad.gif

90% of posts in this topic are about how SA / IV is better. I personallly don't think SA was overrated, but neither was IV. You think IV has boring missions? Well in my opinion they were great, SA missions would not fit story wink.gif . Boring setting? 80s, 90s were pretty much covered multiple times so we need change, it would be boring if they made it in 90s, or 80s again. Small map? Well, I prefer quality over quantity.. wink.gif Even though LC was smaller, it wasn't lifeless as for example San Fiero or Los Santos. Boring story? Looks like you haven't played IV, story was much more developed than SA's and it was much better too in my opinion. But don't get me wrong SA has great things too I really enjoyed of desert, countryside or Las Ventures these places were beautiful. Both SA and IV are great games smile.gif . But SA is certainly not the best game as you may think... wink.gif .

Small map? Lol, the IV-era LC is only a little smaller than whole state of San Andreas, plus it's so much more detailed.

Reviewers have their opinion like you do. There's no set rule as to what it should've got.

As for LC being small it's the biggest city R* have ever made for GTA so I have no idea why you think it's small.

If you're comparing it to SA (which I'm assuming you are) the only thing that makes SA bigger is the outskirts of the countryside/desert.

I don't think most people grasp how big LC actually is. You could comfortably fit GTA III's LC and VC in it without breaking a sweat. Even LS despite being the biggest city in SA is about as big as Broker, Dukes and perhaps a bit of Bohan.

Oh, but don't worry with GTA V on the horizon and if it's as big as R* claim the SA fanboys will retreat back into their holes because their GTA will no longer be the biggest.

GTA V is set in the west coast, so I personally have no problem with it being the biggest game of the series.

Also, why do you feel the need to point out that just because others have opinions that it can't be criticized or questioned? We get it, we all don't agree but that's what forums are for.

I don't think SA is the best game ever made. It is my favorite GTA, but mostly because I can fly a fighter jet and gamble and do stunts off of this huge wooden ramp in the desert. Honestly, there's more, but that's all I need. A big open world with lots of variety and fun stuff to do that I can't do in real life.

Where did I say it can't be criticized or questioned FnB?

All I was saying to Infernov is reviewers have their opinions like he does and the "i think that is much higher then it should have got" part is completely subjective.

If someone felt GTA IV deserved such a high score they're perfectly entitled to feel that way.

So it's not the biggest and yet it's the biggest once it can be beat out by the new biggest?

You mean the parts of the map that are used throughout the game? Countryside / Desert

What? Maybe I didn't make myself clear enough. GTA IV's LC is the biggest CITY in the series. This isn't me stating an opinion, but a fact.

SA does have the biggest map overall, but its cities are dwarfed by GTA IV's LC so why would anyone say GTA IV is small when it's actually not?

Only parts of the countryside/desert make SA bigger. It's actually not that big for a tri-city state, but GTA IV's LC is for an urban environment with the detail present for an early current gen game.

I'm hoping GTA V has the biggest map overall, but I can't see LS being bigger than LC on its own. To me R* nailed the size perfectly with LC.

Size aside I think its the mood that heps too. The only city in SA I really liked was LV. I hated being in SF and LS. GTA IV's LC gives me a feeling only VC rivals IMO.
