I think it might be a big impact to the movie. The shooters description is almost exactly alike with the villain of the movie, Bane. I mean, both had gas masks, bullet proofed vests, arsenal of wepaons and gas and other crap...it's pretty much the film becoming real. Horrible thing really.
The Dark knight had two deaths if im correct, including some stunt man i believe and also Heath Ledger...made the film famous for it also. Now we have this, seems like Nolans Batman films are cursed, maybe because they are too good? Thats just some crazy idea but still...

They sure seem cursed now.

Damn, just learned there's a 3 MONTH OLD being treated for injuries. Man, that's insane. Furthermore, there's some being treated for chemical inhalation too.

Why? Was this a setup? This is insane actually, and an example of 21st Century's Human. RIP those who just went to watch that f*cking movie. sad.gif Maybe the gunman was a terrorist? Now the movie will get into controversy.

Cīmon,This is not an example of 21st Century's Human, this is not an example of nothing.
This tragedy itīs something quite exceptional(luckily).
I really hate this falacy, the f*cking hasty generalization.
These tragedies happen since centuries and will happen again.

Robin: I guess you can never trust a woman.
Batman: You've made a hasty generalization, Robin. It's a bad habit to get into.

That's why I don't usually watch Premiere shows. They're too crowded thus makes it quite a Haven for people with "evil" intentions.

I don't see why the movie would gather controversy. The guy was obviously a f*cked up waste of oxygen to begin with.

I don't think it'll do anyone any good to make a link between the gunman(men?) and the actual film unless it's confirmed as a part of the motive. The guy was wearing tactical gear, just like many of the school shooters, he had a gasmask (or mask of some sort) because he was using smoke and/or tear gas bombs and the first showing of what is/was probably set to be the biggest film of the year is a guaranteed, nearly captive, huge group of people. There is no real reason to link it to the actual film other than the fact that it was a given that those particular screens would be ram packed.

It doesn't really matter if there is an actual link or not, the film is damn near ruined because of this. People will be associating a massacre with the film for a long time. The turn out for the first week is likely to be way under expectations because people will fear the very real possibility of copycat incidents.

Its sad to think that such an upcoming film with so much to offer will be deemed as cursed or some other bullsh*t and basically get less showings just because of one crazy guy. I personally have no association with the killer and this film. Totally different things, just a shame that people won't go to see it if all they cant differentiate the 2.

I doubt anyone cares though, even the cast and crew. I'm a big movie nerd and a massive fan of the Nolan Batman films, but my last concerns here are the film, it's reputation and the box office figures. Sure it's a shame that it's legacy will be soiled with this, but there are bigger issues here. Fourteen people are dead because of some psycho.

This is really sh*tty. Why someone would do this, let alone to a god damn toddler, is beyond me. It's a real shame and really sad.

This better not affect the film in any way, shape or f*cking form. It deserves more than this sh*t.

A bunch of families, fans, young kids, people just eager to see Batman's new adventures get their lives either ended or scarred. This is f*cking bullsh*t. We should be allowed to go to the cinema and just relax and be taken away from the real world and all its problems. f*ck.

Well, maybe some boy who lost his parents at the theater (like Bruce Wayne) tonight will become Batman to avenge their deaths.

Holy sh*t! I'm going to see it today, I don't know if I'll be able to enjoy the movie while I'm thinking about all the people who lost their lives because of it.

They didn't lose their lives because of the movie. They lost their lives because of a lunatic. It could have happened anywhere.

A film that could basically rake in it's own budget in the opening weekend? Yeah, they care. But who knows, people may still turn out in droves regardless.

But yeah, the obligatory RIP for 14 people I never knew and all that. No seriously, I couldn't bear the thought of being in their family's shoes.
