Sh*t man, just heard about this on the radio. I was looking forward to some interview they had with Anne Hathaway and JGl coming up when they said they cancelled it "in light on the news" and I didn't know what the f*ck 'til the next bulletin. Pretty messed up stuff. That bulletin said the guy had on some sort of helmet or mask and let off smoke bombs before starting. They didn't just wanna kill someone, they wanted to scare everyone too. Scary that there's people out there that sadistic as well as crazy.

Why? Was this a setup? This is insane actually, and an example of 21st Century's Human. RIP those who just went to watch that f*cking movie. Maybe the gunman was a terrorist? Now the movie will get into controversy.

I think it might be a big impact to the movie. The shooters description is almost exactly alike with the villain of the movie, Bane. I mean, both had gas masks, bullet proofed vests, arsenal of wepaons and gas and other crap...it's pretty much the film becoming real. Horrible thing really.
The Dark knight had two deaths if im correct, including some stunt man i believe and also Heath Ledger...made the film famous for it also. Now we have this, seems like Nolans Batman films are cursed, maybe because they are too good? Thats just some crazy idea but still...

Apparently, according to 9News there could be still explosives or gas inside the cinema/mall, still not safe there. Police even went round to other cinemas to see if they were safe.

Its crazy how some of the gunshots went through the wall of Cinema 9 and hit people in Cinema 8. Damn, it must have been surreal how the film would have kept playing like nothing happened. This guy wasn't playing around.

I don't think it'll do anyone any good to make a link between the gunman(men?) and the actual film unless it's confirmed as a part of the motive. The guy was wearing tactical gear, just like many of the school shooters, he had a gasmask (or mask of some sort) because he was using smoke and/or tear gas bombs and the first showing of what is/was probably set to be the biggest film of the year is a guaranteed, nearly captive, huge group of people. There is no real reason to link it to the actual film other than the fact that it was a given that those particular screens would be ram packed.
