It has been said many times and i have yet to read a good explanation on why they think it looks worse. I really don't see it.
And remember how GTA IV screenshots had that waterpaint effect? These screens dont have it at all. It looks alot more crisp and clear, i'm sure when we'll eventually play it..we will see how much improved it really is. |
I agree.. I think the screenshots look just as good as the trailer. And there are noticeable improvements with the lighting and textures compared to GTA IV. I think the sky and the clouds in GTA V look alot better aswell as we've seen from the trailer. Everything looks alot more vibrant aswell which is nice even though there isn't a huge amount of graphical improvement... |
Well, it may look like the graphics haven't improved that much. But take a good look at things like the pedestrians in IV and compare them to the trailer of V, they look alot more detailed. I'm sure when you play it...you will see how much actually has been improved. I have all the faith in Rockstar. |
Oh yeah I know that.. I'm sure there will be alot of small details. Rockstar did a good job in GTA IV with many small details so i'm sure they exceed with that in GTA V.. I can't wait to see what the countryside looks like. The people do look a lot better aswell... I'm not sure, but it looks like they're gonna use the face scan technology that they used in LA Noire.. If they do then i'll be really happy because the face animations in LA Noire look incredible! | I don't think they will and for the better too, in my opinion. LA Noire was a rather realistic came, people really looked human. GTA has always had that 'cartoony' look to it, not to be mistaken with cell-shaded, but i'm sure you know what i mean. To have those ultra realistic facial animations in GTA V would be very weird. Judging by the trailer and seeing balcony guy a bit...i doubt it will have that tech.

But yeah I can see where your coming from and it'll probably take away some of the GTA humour and charm that the game is known for.. Either way I wouldn't be bothered if they did use the tech.

| QUOTE (Zulu2065 @ Friday, Jul 20 2012, 15:59) | I love them, but I think I can remember a post like this a while ago, not the locked official post. Oh well, I love the images, they'd look better if the city was living and breathing. We could use a few more images though, I mean of cars or something. The photos aren't taken in any special area, but it shows the game will look good. | Screen shots were great, showed off more of the map and they looked great.
