Well I succesfully installed GTA IV through Steam. Then I get this error saying something about my Microsoft C++ Redistributables. I somewhat ignored and hit "OK" on it. I then signed in through Rockstar Social Club and hit "Play" on there. The screen went away and...nothing happened! I then re-installed my GTA and did the same thing but the error did not pop-up again. But the game still won't start! Please help I've looked at other suggestions but I need one here.

In the game installation directory there should be an extras folder and in it the vc_setup.exe which needs to be installed.

Ok but im somewhat....terrible with computers so were/what is the installation discovery?

it could be nice if we could have the exact message . which OS are you running a 32 bits version (x86) or a 64 bits (x64) one . according to the version you have download and install the libraries link . if that doesn't work check the video card you have and according if you have an nvidia or an ati chipset card go to the card manufacturer site and download the latest drivers . and if that still doesn't work download and install Direct X libraries link . check if your firewall isn't blocking too

Its the 1935 error but I can't say anything more because it never popped up again. And I will try all that jpm1.

The installation folder is usually

CODE

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\grand theft auto iv

and there should be an "install" or "extras" folder inside.
