| QUOTE (saintsrow @ Saturday, Jul 21 2012, 00:36) | I would certainly like to see a "making of" video for each of Rockstar's HD games. It would probably have to be pretty bland however, in order not to give away their game-making secrets. I wish they would do it.
Maybe the next best thing is that someone at Rockstar could get some of the designers together at a break and have the GTAV forums up on a computer screen, then turn on an audio recorder on his smartphone, and read some of the ridiculous forum posts, which naturally would be commented upon by the group, with great hilarity. That way, with an audio recording only, designer anonymity could be maintained, and we would hear their true reactions to both the earnest ideas and the stoned drivel that is on this forum.
Next best thing after that (or more appropriately, next worst thing) - someone here starts a parody thread where each post is pretending to be a Rockstar designer commenting on some piece of drivel he read in this forum. But I guess we are all basically doing that every day already. | Could you imagine the mind f*ck that would be a R* North employee posting fake info...

| QUOTE (Shampson360 @ Friday, Jul 20 2012, 04:00) | What if in the limited edition they included a commentary of the making of the video game and during some bits of it they show R* North employees looking at forums and are shown reading some of the stuff they have found and the all around craziness of everyone trying to get info.
This is ment to just be a fun thread so please don't be harsh.
What do you guys think? What do you want too see in the special edition? | That wouldn't work because 1) it gives definite proof that R* lurks the forums while developing games (yeah I know people are convinced there are R* moles here but there's no legit proof, aside from the one guy who helped out with PC problems or something a couple years back). 2) It would be condescending to the fanbase, because no R* can look at these forums and say with a straight face that this is a positive place for a R* employee to even bother visiting. It would be cool, after finishing the game and learning the story and getting the GTAV experience, to see some backstage footage of programmers in meetings discussing new gameplay elements from idea to reality, in terms of seeing snippets of a brainstorming session, to the animators creating movements and cutscenes, to coders programming the element into the system, and the testers to fine tuning it. It'd also be awesome to get some insight from the writers, how/why they came up with the stories and characters, and to also see the voice actors and mo-cap artists at work doing their thing. Stuff like that always interests the hell out of me. It's awesome to go through the wonderous experience of really well-made video game, but also after completing it seeing all the effort that went into it. Like a magician who reveals his methods, I suppose. I find the method just as interesting as the trick itself.

| QUOTE (gionascm2 @ Thursday, Jul 19 2012, 20:05) | LOL!
Ok even though there is only a 0.000000001% chance of that actually happenning, it would make my life. a "a year without info: behind the scenes" Oh boy I hope it features Zee! | God that would be funny, I can see it now. "We had these blokes on GTAForums going on about some 2405 thing, bloody hell now that was funny. One of these guys went on about me and my brother being a drunk, Zee or something like that, good times, we sent him a bottle of bottom shelf whiskey when he bought his copy, cheers!"-Dan Houser Some comments to that degree would be priceless.
