| QUOTE (OSullivan @ Friday, Jul 20 2012, 20:00) | | QUOTE (radioman @ Saturday, Jul 21 2012, 00:53) | About the Intel Video card-If the PC has ONLY an Intel card, it will not run the game, as Intel cards are not supported by the game-you need at least an Nvidia 7900/ATI HD 3870 or better to run the game properly...Plus you need at least 256mb of Dedicated vram on a video card, and since Intel cards are Integrated ones, it has shared vram(shared with the System Ram), and plus, I have yet to see an Intel card that has more than 128MB of dedicated vram, which it is the dedicated vram that games use...Hope this helps. |
Wait...people are being nice/helpful....on the internet?! I think somethings gone wrong somewhere!
Okay i sorta understand what you mean more now, so if/when i buy a new laptop, what do I need to look out for to make sure the game will run? Will there be a sort of video card to look out for? Or did I need to buy a PC?
Thanks | As far as processors go(from my experience), it seems like on laptops, Intel processors are faster than AMD ones-As my Intel Core 2 Duo laptop is faster than my old AMD Athlon X2(which had a higher clock than the Core 2 Duo one)...So, I would tend to go for an I5 OR I7 processor for gaming, at least 4GB Ram(which you would need a 64-bit OS to make full use of), and at least an ATI Radeon 5000 series or higher/Nvidia 8800 or better(depends on your preference-ATI OR Nvidia)..to run the game properly...Hope this helps. I say a 64-bit OS is best, as 32-bit OS's are only able to recognize up to 3.25GB Ram(XP)/3.75GB Ram(Vista and 7)... Also, I try to be friendly and helpful when replying to topics as much as possible..
