Okay I reinstalled the game and patched it but sadly nothiung changed.
Neither Max Payne 3 nor Future Soldier work.
Might it be helpful to clear my whole drive to solve the problem, in my case D:/ ?

I already checked on google. Nothing there but discussions about GTA IV...
My problem is that I can play GTA IV without any problems but some other games stop working due to this failure message and thatīs whatīs freaking me out.
Cause those are games which have no connection to GTA IV.
I mean why would Need for Speed Underground 2 show this message ??
Or Ghost Recon Future Soldier ??
I donīt get it...

Re-Install those games which have problem. Re-installation is the first step in Troubleshooting. Also, Patch 4 isn't that complicated as Patch 7 so I suggest you to apply it (Re-install GTA 4 and apply the patch or else you would apply it with your patched games and things will get even worse. bored.gif)

... didn't know that. But if that message is popping out in other games, it may be entirely possible the mod is installed "globally".

Mkey: the dsound.dll u download for IV, is just a kinda of "shortcut" to the one in the system32 folder.

anyway, u might have to search through ur computer to see if there's something related to filecheckfix.

maybe, but then there's the big problem, how can he have filecheckfix errors if he don't even have filecheckfix?

If he replaced dsound.dll and extracted filecheckfix.asi in the systems32 folder, that may cause problems.
