during the mission 'Guardian Angels', after you've defended diaz, the cutscene plays where the money is stolen by some hatians on sanchez's, here's a video

if you listen, the shot that kills the first hatian is a sniper rifle. None of the guards, lance or diaz have a sniper rifle, so who takes the shot?

The shot was probably caused by a script.

I've noticed this, I usually don't speculate much though. I just thought it was something they added for dramatic effect (the big boom and following echo of the sniper rifle does sound dramatic for real if you ask me), or maybe some character carried a sniper rifle in an earlier version of the game (less likely me thinks).

Of course it's scripted. ._.

Yes it sounds like a Sniper but it isn't maybe R* didn't bother about the sound that much.
