Oh freaky/weird moments... *cracks fingers* I have many. I shall start with one that did not happen in my lifetime, it was one I was told about by my mother, backed up by my sister (and this is 100% true, she didn't lie, not about stuff like this)

anyway our tale begins like any good tale does: in the 1980s:
It was when my older sister was like 2, she played with this toy car that made a noise when it moved, more so that normal little plastic ones I assume, but knowing my mum's sense of hearing it could have been silent and she would hear it, anyway while she was cooking she put the car on the kitchen counter on the other side of the kitchen, cos the noise was in her words "driving her mad" and she heard it go, and she thought my sister, had climbed onto the counter (like twice her height at the time) so thinking "oh no my daughter is doing something potentially dangerous" she turned around. Nobody there, the car was just moving in a circle on its own.

Now later, she is told that a relative; an aunt she was quite close with, had unfortunately passed away, I can't remember what the cause was that they initially gave her at first (I am 80% sure it was not the true cause, it has been 5 years since I last heard the story) and she had passed away around the time the car was moving, about the same time.

Little addition: my mum knew how the aunt died as well, but that was because she never trusted the husband, she knew there was something off with him from the start and she aways believed that the husband murdered her aunt, turned out to be correct.
My mum saw the car thing as a kind of message from the aunt, like maybe a goodbye.

anyway that is the story, it is 100% true, I know I was not there but my sister was, my dad was, and my mum was, my mum did not lie about things like this, and this is just the tip of the iceberg with regards to weirdness in our family

SA's Hot Coffee mod is hidden by default. You should not have allowed an 8 year old to play GTA by himself, regardless of the mod. There is plenty of other content that is inappropriate for kids, too; hence the M (17+) rating.

Thanks Mom.

I don't know how exactly you'd define "freaky," but yesterday my brother and I were riding our motorcycles through a country road and we got behind a Dodge SUV or pickup, I couldn't quite tell. Anyway, it kept swerving to the point where I figured the driver was either drunk or texting madly. We stayed behind it and saw it go up on a curb, then at one point head at full speed into a turn-off lane and miss slamming into a guardrail head-on by mere feet, then missing oncoming traffic by the same distance. I really thought I was going to witness a car crash.

So that was freaky to me.

i know
it was bad

I was watching 18 rated films when I was 8 - as long as they don't emulate it then why not? Educating kids early is a good idea, it's not like he was playing Manhunt or watching Debbie Does Dallas.

My moment would probably be when I was listening to Binaural Beats one night, and when I got up to brush my teeth and go to bed, an overwhelming sense of dread came over me - I was certain something was in my house watching me. Never found the exact track again but I want to; it was a very strong effect.

are you a troll or something
it was not a wind up car, if it was it would not be a freaky moment and I would not have posted it, it was a simple car you had to PUSH to MOVE! not wind up in any way.

SIMPLE FACT: it moved without any tangible external force acting on it. nobody (with a physical presence) was there pushing it, the window was not open so it was not the wind (it was going in a circle anyway), it was plastic so it was not magnets (to go in circle would have to be someone in the cupboard beneath, there wasn't, too small and full of cleaning sh*t, and a bloody powerful magnet to work through an inch of countertop (cant remember the material it was back then in 1987)

how you could think for a second that that could take the wind out of any sails is beyond me. you are wrong that is a fact,

yes I know what i am saying defies logic and the laws of physics but that is why it is a freaky moment

i have one almost identical to this but with a real life car and not a circle but still behavious not fitting of an unmanned vehicle.

WEIRD sh*t HAPPENS DEAL WITH IT FRANKIE

This one started when I was thirsty one night. So I went downstairs and drank a nice glass of water. I then heard noises and decided to turn around and look back. And I saw something that will forever freak me out. A gnome. I swear, a freaking gnome.

I'm not crazy. I saw it standing there, I though it was my little sister's doll, but I saw it moving. I ran like a little girl and climbed the stairs tripping along the way. When my mom and I went to the kitchen, that short bastard was gone.

He was wearing a black penguin coat with a small top hat or boiler. He was also wearing black and white dress shoes. This happened in 1994 and it haunted me ever since. The freakiest part is that my mom said that that exact gnome also haunted her in her childhood.

She told me one story about a time that it came up. It was around the 60's, I think, and my mom and my aunts slept in the same room. So basically my aunts were all asleep, as my mom stayed up. She then said that the bedroom door opened slowly and nothing was seen. My mom, now scared, laid still and turned her eyes to see a gnome looking at her at the side of the bed, only about an inch away from her.

My mom said she tried waking my aunt up, but my mom was so shocked she couldn't even move. The gnome crawled under the bed after a few seconds, and was never seen again.

These weren't freaky, but scary! nervous.gif

Oh god, the horror. You've brought up some repressed childhood nightmare for me trip. I was looking in my dad's wardrobe one time for, hmmm you know I don't even remember what it was that I was looking for, guess I repressed it pretty good. But what I did find will haunt me for the rest of my life. It was a small stack of photos of my dear beloved mum, in clothing I can only describe as being inappropriate, in poses that I could only describe as being even more inappropriate.

If you ever hear of some serial killer in the north of England that does some bizarre silence of the lambs sh*t, that will probably be me. God sake dad, why didn't you hide that stuff you f*cking dick! I was a little kid, you could have put it on top where I couldn't reach. But no, that's where he kept his precious Star Trek videos to stop me wrecking them. Well you wrecked my innocence instead dad, you wrecked my innocence instead.

Oh these were well posed too. At least your mom was wearing clothes to some degree.

Just so you know, the memory you have is forever burned into your head now. It was well over 30yrs ago that I stumbled across the pics, yet I remember it like it was yesterday. *shutter*

*In my mother's defense - my folks were pretty much swingers, and it was a different time back then.

I don't want to get too graphic here, for my own mental well being more than anything. She may have been wearing "things" but they didn't do very much to cover stuff, in fact they covered nothing, and I mean nothing. If anything it only acted to draw the eye more. I've come to terms with the fact it will be forever burned into the back of my mind.

Well, not exactly on par with seeing my mother nude or anything I had an interesting experience a few weeks ago.

I was getting high with a friend on this one deserted back road and we decided to walk around. This road is a a crappy piece of road surrounded by bushy areas. It's not exactly the most confidence inspiring place. While walking around we walk past a jeep that has it's radio on playing classic rock, inside is a guy clearly not conscious for whatever reason with his head leaning out the window. He was all sweaty and didn't move as we walked past.

I almost thought he was dead and immediately got ridiculously freaked out and paranoid (natural with cannabis) and walked past it real fast. The only thing I can think of is that he just got off pulling an all nighter and decided it was safe to fall asleep in a generally un-populated road or well off on some kind of drug. The music playing playing in contrast with the entire deadness of the scene just really set the tone of freaky.

It was just so freaky at the time.

November 21, 2011. The night before my daughter was born, I was staying at my friend's apartment because he lived closer to the hospital and I could get there faster if I was needed.

Around 11:00 everyone went to sleep, so I laid down on the couch and tried to fall asleep. I dozed off for about 2 hours, then I woke up. I decided to go out for a smoke, The porch light was out, and the moon was covered by clouds, making it a very dark time.

I light up my smoke, and lean against the support for the upper-level balcony. A car drives by on the street above, I pay little attention. Out of the corner of my eye, I see a man in the standing in the street to the right of me. I glance over, and look at him. He's wearing a brown duster looking coat, over a dirty white tank top. I can't see his eyes, because his hair is too long and covers most of his face. His beard is long and grisly looking. I look away for a few seconds, but look back just to make sure he's not coming toward me.

He was gone, I looked up and down the street, to see if he was walking away, but he was nowhere to be found. I put out my cigarette, and reach for the door knob. Then I hear a voice, it sounds as though it's coming from somebody whispering in my ear. "I'm sorry"

A few weeks later, I'm over at my mother's house. We're talking about weird things that have happened to us at night (it was midnight). I remembered what happened that night, and was getting ready to tell her when she went into her story.
She said.

'There was a night back in 1991, I think it was in November. We were out at your grandmother's house, and running late getting home. You and your sister were sleeping in the back seat, so I figured it would be okay to check the mail before we went home. I left you in the car and walked to the mailbox. When I came back, I got back in and then out of the corner of my eye, I saw a man standing next to the car, staring at you through the window. He was wearing a brown duster with a white shirt underneath, and he had long brown hair and a beard. I started the car and drove off as fast as I could. I shook it out of my mind, thinking it was just my imagination'

At this point my blood is cold, and the hair on the back of my neck is standing up. I was trying to find words, when she continued.

'We got home, and I was putting you to bed and you said, "Mommy, what was that man sorry for?"

This scared the piss out of me, and it still does when I think about it.

^Dude, that is seriously f*cking creepy. After all these years, do you think you know why he would say sorry?

As for me, the creepiest moment I've had, recently, was at a bon fire. It's pretty late, me and my friend is drunk and we are trying to clean up a bit. All of the sudden we hear the loudest, scariest f*cking scream come from the woods. Me and my friend dropped everything, and ran to the house. I remember the goosebumps it gave me, and the trouble I had breathing for a few minutes. It was that scary. Anyway, it turns out it was just a female fox. Here's what it sounds like:

OMG that gave me chills lol.

As for me when I was younger there was a car mysteriously parked on one of the fields at my school. Really it was just a stolen car, but because I was so young I had nightmares a ghost had left it there.
