| QUOTE (ItzMyFate @ Saturday, Jul 21 2012, 13:15) | Gaming laptops IMO are a gamble. If you wan a laptop for gaming specifically then don't get the Samsung dell acer etc. crap. Get a Alienware or a origin you could also consider an ASUS ROG (republic of gaming) laptop. They are quite good and have good reviews pc power play reccomends . But within you're budget you probably couldn't afford. Origin IMO is the your only if you're willing to spend more.
You really can't expect to run gta 4 medium on a laptop anyway and with a 1k laptop I doubt you can even run low. Plus arms 2 even on low will be choppy with the laptops you recommended. However if you get a tower than you can get a lot more bang for you're buck as space is not a problem. Running gta 4 on "mid to high" would just be Way too much on a 1000$ laptop. | Alienware is Dell you complete and utter prune. Way to contradict yourself. Dell (meaning, Alienware as well) computers are infamously overpriced, so going for them wouldn't be a great idea unless you have the money to waste on tech that isn't worth the pricetag. Origin seem to have better prices upon my first look, but I don't have much knowledge about them. Acer make pretty fair laptops for gaming at really good prices, so if you're on a tight budget and you're not looking for top-end gaming laptops then you should definitely look at some Acers. I have a $900 Acer laptop that runs GTA4 at medium-high, 1366x768 at a solid 30fps, so please stop talking out your ass. @tater259: The third laptop you linked is the best spec - you'll run games smoothest on that and ironically it's the cheapest. Goes to show that certain brands price their laptops higher for no reason other than their reputation as a company. Medium-high should certainly be possible at 1600x900.

Yeah I know that, that's why I don't recommend entirely. I think everything Dell is crap with past experience. I go for origin in the first place. I have actually used a origin before and it's quite good. Pretty quiet and a ok battery life. Alienware does sound gimmicky I guess, does the job though. Sure you can call me a "complete utter prune" For not knowing that alien ware is Dell. Never owned an alien ware. I guess thanks for the info. Yeah "sorry" for contradicting myself. Ok I won't talk out of my ass next time lol. Sorry for not knowing better. Time to do some more research. This post has been edited by ItzMyFate on Saturday, Jul 21 2012, 23:52
