T2 could always change its financial projections, so 2012 is far from guaranteed (as much as I would like it to be!). Another argument in favor of 2013 is that R* has been in the habit of releasing one game per year and releasing said games in the spring. A 2013 release would also mean more development time and polish for V, should either be necessary. This doesn't mean 2013 is a sure thing, but it is very possible.

I agree that the arguments in favor of 2013 about a 4-6 month marketing campaign being necessary are invalid, as everyone knows about V. The other day I was getting a drink with a buddy of mine who is hardly even a casual gamer and even he had heard about V's new screenshots within a day of their release. It's incredible how GTA news just spreads like wildfire.

As ever, an October release is too early. There's been no real marketing. R* has never done the holiday season thing. A March-May window would be business as usual and leave plenty of time for final touches and marketing.

GTA 5 doesn't need a lot of marketing. They release another trailer, half the world knows about it in 20 minutes. Look what happened with the screenshots. They could start the marketing in October and release it in October and be totally fine. They don't need 6 months for marketing.

Yeah but i really wanna know is it for sure because people here have their wildless theories on here.But ive you ask them are you 100% sure then most would say "i don't know" "Its because everybody says so" So Basically if you ask them a direct question then their theory would fall. Fact is if TakeTwo still expect $2.25-$2.5/per share on the conference then GTA V will be out before March 2013. 15 days to go.

considering MP3 DLC & other huge games releases like AC 3 .. BO2 .. ect , they will say we don't want to hurt their sales
but in fact they don't want to hurt GTA V sales , and they want the game to be sold properly with no other games in their way !

in OCT games will be released is :
dishoner
medal of honer
forza horizon
assassin creed 3

in NOV games will be released :

COD Black ops 2
epic mickey 2
hitman
RE 6

as you see all huge games is there so no way they will risk and releasing it in OCT or NOV because of their financial states as almost of us saw it !

so only DEC 2012 & JAN 2013 is left so i'm guessing between DEC 2012 - JAN 2013 !

and my stronger feeling is JAN 2013 !

that if we assume no other games will be delayed for some reasons !

If on July 31st, the new financial report for this fiscal year comes out, and it still says 60% of all cash will come from Rockstar Games, I know for 100% sure that GTA V will be released before this fiscal year ends (March 31st)

Edit: So youre theory is for example non negotiable right....Because you believe 100% in your theory if im right.If i look to the other threads about 2012 or 2013 People are arguing about their theory they really want to slap their theory in the face.They must realize thats their theory its non negotiable If dont believe you dont believe end of story.But still they don't get it

Everyone saying it will be out in 2012 is just wishfully thinking, its is so a 2013 release its not even funny. In the Q&A the dude said that they wouldn't even be able to get us a 2nd trailer "for a while yet" Marketing isn't even close to starting. The argument that "everyone knows about it, they don't need it" is stupid. Believe it or not some gamers have never picked up a GTA game. They have to market for a while to get the appeal out to people that need some pushing for a purchase. Trust me, I want this game in my f*cking PS3 right now, But we have to look realistically at this. IF im wrong then you can quote me and make fun and tell me "I told you so" all you want but I wont see it because I will be playing GTAV. lol

They only marketed San Andreas for like 2 or 3 months or something like that. Isn't it like the 2nd best selling GTA ever? GTA 5 is so much more hyped than San Andreas. I think you can do the math.

My opinion:

2012

Why? I'm optimistic.
Several other games have moved their release dates out of October.
Christmas shopping season.
If it is delayed they can still release it before FY2013 ends and make their numbers.
