Its been years since I last bought a computer for gaming so need some help.

I would like to know if the following would run GTAIV. Also if it would be capable of running it smoothly with mods installed such as EBS and the like.

Thanks

With that Processor and GPU you will lag

This game is very demanding

Whats your budget?

Also, have you considered building your own system from scratch?

I doubt this rig is capable of anything more than absolute minimum setings.

Low-Medium: 25fps
lowest: 35fps

(1440x900)

800x600 = medium setting 30fps.

That could easily be estimated too high sigh.gif

This depends on how you define "smooth", for some people 5FPS is as fluid as honey during warm weather.

Well I got a quote for a pc but its about 800 quid and I dont have that money yet.
Im bored of waiting lol and just need a pc asap that works.

I have played this game with mods and new textures etc once before so know that its demanding.

Using this site > http://www.zoostorm.com/Category/2-desktop-pcs.aspx can someone post a link that should work for this game, and obviously other games.

Thanks smile.gif

Can you give us an idea of a ball park figure of what you can spend at this moment so that we can work with it

The problem is that buying a ready built PC from an outlet will result in you paying a bit more for a system with inferior spec's
Building your own PC will solve that problem so if you are able build one or if you have any friends who can put it together for you, people like Yojo / mkey can advise you on the best parts for your money and get you a system which will give you great performance for a great price

Well, from what I understood his budget is £800, but I don't know about any UK based online PC stores. Or any stores that would be especially convenient for OT.

@OP: If you could build the PC by yourself (it's not that hard), or you could find someone whou would assemble it for you, this is what I'd recommend:

£176,60 Intel CPU Core i5 3570K Quad Core IvyBridge Processor Retail
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/29-4intel-c...mart-cache-34x-

£283,97 EVGA 2GB GeForce GTX 670 NVIDIA Graphics Card
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-evga-gt...2x-dl-dvi-dp-hd

£76,52 MSI Z77A-G45 Intel Z77 Socket 1155 Ivybridge Ready Motherboard
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/msi-z77a-g4...-dvi-d-hdmi-atx

£53,98 Western Digital WD5000AAKX Caviar Blue SATA 6Gbps 7200rpm 16MB Cache
.

£41,76 Corsair Memory 8GB Vengeance Jet Black Low Profile 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz CAS 9 XMP Dual Channel Desktop
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/8gb-(2x4gb)...-9-9-24-xmp-15v

£48,66 XFX Pro Series Core Edition P1-550S-UKB9 550W Power Supply (PSU)
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/550w-xfx-pr...-12v-fan-atx-v2

£13,16 24x Black SATA DVDRW Sony AD-7280S-0B OEM Bare Drive
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/sony-ad-728...-sata-black-oem

£32,87 Coolermaster Elite 335U Black Mid Tower Case
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/coolermaste...0mm-fan-w-o-psu

£78,84 Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OEM Operating System
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/microsoft-w...stem-single-oem

= £806,36

No PC from the site you linked to is going to top this PC, not even close... there's absolutely no comparison. Quad core i5 + GTX670 and 8GBs of RAM should be enough to run GTA4 maxed out @ Full HD with ENB and other mods, with stable framerate.

If you want to spend less on the PC please tell us how much money you'd like to spend. wink.gif

it would run low settings, depending on resolution. but a quad core or tri core at 3 ghz+ would be much better.
