I'm sure by now you heard the press conference and read excerpts from Louis Freeh's report. Sickening. For me, all the wonderful things Joe Paterno did, his legacy, is forever tainted. The Penn State Gang of Four enabled a child molester for 14 years. They were more concerned about protecting the PSU brand than kids.

According to today's NY Times, when Paterno learned prosecutors were making their move against Sandusky(January 2011), he went to Penn State officials and asked for amendments to his contract. Basically, he'd retire after 2011 and receive a sweet package worth over $5 million. He knew what was coming, and was getting out before the s*** hit the fan. What a piece of work.

It'll be interesting to see if the NCAA takes action against the football program.

This is college football. An assistant coach at Penn State, Jerry Sandusky, is being accused of sexual contact with young boys. The coach during this time period, Joe Paterno, was highly acclaimed for his amazing work during his long tenure, but there's now information that Paterno may have been involved in a cover-up.

There's more to it, but that's just a general outline.
