GTAForums member Bantri has kindly produced a mock up of an alternative GTAV.net design suggestion.



On the left is Bantri's suggested flat/matte look, on the right is the current look.

We're always open to suggestions, so we would like your feedback on which design you prefer - vote now!

Current one gives it a nicer, glossier look. I hope the animations remain untouched, those are a great addition.

I like the current one.
The one on the left looks "unfinished" and it's not as "Hollywood" if you know what I mean.

They both look good, but the current one looks a tad bit better.

Both look great to me, current one and the new one don't really have that much difference, so whichever gets chosen it will look great! I do slightly prefer the current one more.

I got one unrelated suggestion though. To make a GTAV.net themed skin for GTAF. Last year, 2k4+ skin became the forum default one, and it was just some bigger fonts and a changed banner to IV era pictures.
Same can be done now, using the 2k4+ skin, GTAV.net animated banner can replace the header, forum icons can be designed by one of the forum gfx artists, color scheme can be changed into some green tone colors, as they are on the site. Basically just re-coloring and image swapping for the new skin, don't think it would need any extra coding, so it shouldn't be that hard i think?

Anyway, it's a small suggestion, just wanted to say it.

Ya I know. That's what I said, its shiny and hollywood-ish, I like it that way so I voted for the current one.

i prefer the flat look. the current embossed look looks pretty dated. it's trying too hard to look snazzy and cool, it needs to kept simple imo.

I remember visiting recently and thought it was a tad overdone.

Less is more.
